Your MP’s pay is probably going to rise a lot faster than yours this year – UK Politics – UK – The Independent

Once again, we see the Party of Unfairness preside over a huge injustice against working people. Not only will the Conservatives restrict pay for the masses – they are quite happy to increase their own by a disproportionate amount, and rub our noses in it.

Private sector wages have risen by an average of 1.9 per cent, but this includes the pay of high-salaried bankers and FTSE100 executives, which have increased to hundreds of times the size of the pay packets of ordinary working people.

MPs’ pay is set to dramatically outstrip both public sector and private sector wages, according to new statistics released today.MPs are set to get a 10.9% pay rise this year, from £67,000 to £74,000.

The Conservatives have also pledged to cap public sector pay increases at 1%, meaning many working in public services will be left even further behind.

We are lucky I get a pension & hubby’s pay goes up when the minimum wage is increased by pennies, then they wonder why people are so fed up and disillusioned, he can’t have time off sick as the company doesn’t have a sick pay scheme and now the company are dictating when & where they can take their holidays and everyone of the workers are complaining but can’t do anything about it, as the company won’t allow a union in.

But we are a lot better off than most so should be grateful

The company “won’t allow” a union in?

When was this enshrined in law?
