Fresh fears on rights as Tory MEPs vote against anti-discrimination laws
Fresh doubts have been cast on the Conservative government’s commitment to human rights and the UN disability convention, after the party’s MEPs voted against calls for new European laws that would protect disabled people from discrimination.
All but three of the Tories’ 21 MEPs voted against the amendment – the other three did not vote – which supported the long-standing call for a European Union (EU) anti-discrimination directive.

It is imperative that we keep the European Human Rights Act plus the amendment to include protection of disabled people from the discrimination. Those MEPS who voted against it or abstained should be ashamed and are just another example of Tory disregard for those of us who are not millionaires or billionaires.
Tories have no interest in anything or anyone they can’t make money from.

Can we have the names of the one who didn`t vote for it? I`m interested as Gower has just turned Tory by 27 votes and the guy is also an MEP.Need to know where he stood on this vote.
