Any fool can say that were going to freeze pay when that pay in question is excessive
i would like to see those on the committees undertake there work for free as i have always done at committee level
Freezing pay at a high level means nothing to the vast majority of the public when what the prime minister should be addressing is to how to distribute our ministers excesses and make them more equal with those at the benefit cap level
If mp’s and minister were on the £23000 benefit cap level they would then be able to understand finances so when they lectured in future about low pay the whole country would be able to understand what they were saying and would be able to relate to their findings
There will be a U turn. Just you watch.
Are they still getting paid £130K plus expenses per annum? Some of them(e.g.Ian Duncan-Smith) should have been sacked more than a year ago!
Some of them get much, much more than that!

It was 11 per cent, and it was supposed to happen this year.

So 11 per cent of their wage saved over 5 years.

They can pay me the £115.95 per week state pension, that because of the raised retirement age I have lost for over 2 years now.
And will lose altogether from next year.

With folk getting official forecasts as little as £8.39 per week flat rate state pension after 45 years in work.
The NHS nurses and staff should get the pay & increase what the MP’s are getting and the MP’s do fun runs (like to see Pickles do that !) jumble sales and fund raisers for their expenses. Bet they’d cut down on the champers then !!
They may well “freeze” their pay, but what about their expenses? They need to be carefully scrutinised – with a tooth comb, because these people are basically dishonest..
Just for a little levity, looking at the Cabinet shot above, isn’t Sajid Javid a dead ringer for Uncle Fester?
Correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I can see it is only a freeze on the ministerial part of their pay, they are still paid an MPs salary as part of their ministerial pay package. MPs salaries will increase by 10%, so they will still receive a pay rise, albeit a smaller one than usual. So Cameron saying “We are all in it together” is utter nonsense.
