Carers now being targeted by the DWP.  | The poor side of life

Last Updated: August 6, 2015By

This is insanity.  The DWP wanted the lady in this article to go to work, while the government paid for childcare to look after her disabled child.

Firstly, in any scheme that would work, this would cost more than the DWP is already shelling out.

Secondly, no allowance is made for the individual needs of the child concerned, or the fact that the parent is the best-qualified person to deal with them.

What’s the betting the DWP will get away with this attack on carers – simply because it doesn’t affect most of the population so they won’t care?

Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with all the changes that are occurring in the DWP. It seems like a never ending turnstile of changes. I usually get alerted to the big changes fairly early on before they happen, but I missed this one.

A lady approached me outside the Jobcentre yesterday during our weekly demonstration. To say she was a bit annoyed was an understatement. She is a full time carer for her disabled son. His condition is unpredictable at times and as a result they are in receipt of a high level DLA payment. It’s not easy to get a high level award and this lady has fought very hard to get this.

She had received a letter from the Jobcentre. She had been asked to go into the Jobcentre for a mandatory back to work meeting. To make matters worse they didn’t send her to her nearest Jobcentre, they sent her to one which wasn’t in walking distance, indeed it is a tram ride away. When she told me I was a bit shocked. She needs to be at home to care for her child, but apparently all this is changing now.

Everything the Tories do is driven by DOGMA, not COMMON SENSE. Their belief in their dogma is no so complete, and so far beyond reproach or even comment, that the only way to describe it is to compare it with “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. They are convinced their dogma is right and above all reproach. Quite like some Terrorists, in fact. Unshakeable belief.

This has been quite the norm for a few years now. While qualified medical staff promote homecare these lunatics believe it is better to make the parent work and the disabled child taken care of by what they term as professional carers. I have even seen at close hand 2 of a family of qualified carers being passed by and ignored while the husband could not help until he had proved that he was qualified.
As Mick says Insanity has come to be the rule instead of common sense , or perhaps we should say sense of the ‘Common Man’ !

IDS is a delusionist – someone who is a master of their own delusions to the point where they exist in the dual planes of true and false realities, often exhibiting extreme mood swings resulting from the conflicts of planar coexistence and living in an impenetrable state of constant denial.

These Nazis are targeting everyone, not just the poor, the sick, the disabled, the volunteers, part time workers, now the carers are a target and so will the full time workers be too, anyone that they can screw over and hurt, they will think of something and go right ahead with it, regardless of the consequences! They are all sick and rotten to the core, they’d been perfect for the Third Reich these evil, vile and twisted bastards, would have been in their element back then as they are now, how the hell are they getting away with all of this, how the hell are they not breaking the law and unjustly infringing on your human rights and civil liberties, that what we fought against fascism for so stuff like this couldn’t happen, where the hell is the human rights brigade at, where is the EU human rights brigade at, noticed they are keeping quiet, have they been bought off like the BBC and Channels 4 & 5 have been and put the boot into the poor like the government is doing, it’ s high time something was done and these arseholes stopped from what they are doing because what they are doing is inhumane and so should be made to stop by a higher authority who has a backbone, god help the people of this land when they’ve got done with us, we’ll all be poor and living out on the streets, Sieg Heil Herr Cameron!
