Poll: Almost nobody would support a military coup against Jeremy Corbyn

Does anybody else find it more than a little strange that a military coup against a democratically-elected political leader can be even considered, here in the United Kingdom?

And what about the fact that this suggestion was made about a political leader whose mandate from his membership was overwhelming?

If a military coup was within the bounds of reason here, surely it should be directed against the Conservatives, whose wafer-thin majority was based on the votes of just 24 per cent of the population and built on a tissue of lies.

There would be very little support for a military coup if Jeremy Corbyn won the next election, a poll has found.

An unnamed British army general told the Sunday Times newspaper last month that the Labour leader could face a “munity” from senior military officers, “by whatever means possible, fair or foul”.

But a YouGov poll found that only nine per cent of the population would be sympathetic to a coup if Mr Corbyn became Prime Minister.

I do not believe that a sane British General or Admiral would even countenance such a move. That would mean a Queens Commissioned Offer has mutinied against his own head of state … The Queen ….. unthinkable balderdash.

We had all this in Wilson’s time as party leader and later as pm. It becomes tedious. There is a far larger number of us than there is of them. Armed, trained men have no choice but to die when confronted by determined masses. If you doubt my word, I offer this link:

Rather sounds as though that British army general might just possibly be a warmonger! I don’t like the thought of the Red Button being in his hands.

More importantly what is the SoS for Defence, or is it War now, doing about seeking out and sacking these terrorists that are in the ranks of the military extablishment?

In fact, I’m frightened that as many as 9% of the country are so blinkered in their selfish anti-Leftism that they would support the destruction of their democratic rights, ahead of accepting the leadership of a man who simply thinks we should try being nicer to each other for once.

Yeah, yeah…we had that nonsense against Dear Old Harold:
But new revelations in BBC drama documentary The Plot Against Harold Wilson, to be broadcast next Thursday, suggest the Labour prime minister was also convinced he was the target of plans to stage a military coup – and that the Royal Family backed it…

No not The Royal Family, Mountbatten had a relative in the Palace which we all know, and his Military connections were the military screwballs and wasters..British Forces serve the Crown. not political shysters such as the Tories.

At this point in time there would be a lot more support for a coup against Camoron and his gangster chums

Some reactionaries only put up with democracy when it gives them the result which they want, and to achieve that result they will lie through their teeth.
