Tax credits ‘tweak’ would safeguard Tory MPs – not working people’s incomes

Last Updated: October 18, 2015By

Andrew Mitchell.

Here’s another Tory who is no friend of working people – think of the barrage of abuse to which he subjected a police officer in Downing Street, just for doing his duty, and the slander to which he subjected the same officer when his misbehaviour became a serious embarrassment for the Conservative Party.

If Andrew Mitchell is saying the government’s tax credit cuts could be “tweaked”, then this can only mean the Tories are desperately trying to work out how to ensure that this policy does not endanger the chances of re-election for 71 Tory MPs.

This Writer would suggest this means another ‘Divide and Rule’ offensive, setting working people against each other, could be on its way. Tories love this tactic. They got it from Hitler.

A former Conservative Cabinet minister has suggested the government’s tax credit cuts could be “tweaked” before they come into force in April.

But Andrew Mitchell said he backed the “very tough” reforms overall.

Shadow chancellor John McDonnell confirmed Labour would reverse the cuts after two frontbenchers declined to make the commitment in interviews.

Labour is challenging Tory MPs to join them in opposing the reforms in a Commons vote on Tuesday.

The government’s plans to reduce spending on tax credits were approved by Conservative MPs last month.

People will know they are working harder to be poorer – they can’t wriggle out of this one. I can’t wait for the next by-election – Cameron’s majority is going to drain away.

My My Andy you can afford to have a light on during the day, that must be comforting.

Strongly suggest you take legal action with your hair dresser not good for your appearance or have you had a rough night!
