This Writer is willing to bet Her Majesty didn’t care one jot.

And if she didn’t, why should anybody else?

As I understand it there is nothing in writing to say he had to stand!

Time to get rid of all the pomp & ceremony it’s outdated & unnecessary , we live in the 21st Century not the 16th and it costs the tax payers money which could be better spent elsewhere. I agree with Jeremy.

The quaker George Fox would not doff his hat to anybody regardless of their rank, saying he would only remove it in the presence of God. In the end, only a few minded this and I once heard that the king did not comment on Fox retaining his hat whilst in his presence. One would have to be a foaming at the mouth tory idiot to take offence at Corbyn’s gesture. However, the tories are now taking offence at almost anything Corbyn does and attempting to make political capital out of it. I bet that hate filled rag, the Daily Mail, generated quite a bit of anti-Corbyn poison.
