All EU states oppose David Cameron’s freeze on migrant benefits
Resistance to David Cameron’s proposed four-year freeze on in-work benefits for non-British EU citizens is now total across the other 27 countries.
A view has crystallised in Brussels that the British prime minister will need to climb down on the welfare issue if he wants a deal by February. While Cameron is in a hurry to finalise an agreement to be put to a referendum, other key governments including Germany do not want to be rushed.
Cameron, according to a senior source in Brussels, “has to adapt his position to reality” on the welfare row. “All the legal experts say this is not feasible,” the source said. “Everyone we consult tells us the same thing. This is the most critical point. There will be no deal next week.”

I wonder what lies he is going to spin to get himself out of this one.
Well he didn’t have to lie about delivering this to get himself out of the last mess he created, with some earlier lies, did he?
In fact the biggest lie is one he apparently told himself some years ago, when asked why he wanted to be PM he said “because I thought I’d be rather good at it”. Liar, liar, liar.
Perhaps a “hanger-on, toady and a twerp” Mike?
That should be – Cameron faces shortage of callous sociopaths.
it just shows the arrogance of the man,he thinks he can do just what HE wants.
He will free wheel on reaching a “deal” hoping to that something will come along which he can spin to get himself out of the hole he has dug for himself. Look out for lots of standing behind a lectern wearing his “serious”face telling us how the EU is being UNREASONABLE and not him!
It strikes me that he has manged to grip the entire country in a downward spiral of more and more cognitive dissonance!
There has been a lot of activity in the web and it would seem the Poles, Danes and Germans have all depicted him in various ways as a worm, a tubby fox on the run from huntsman Merkel and a fake interview where he was depicted as a sort of effete dunderhead. Fun hour for me!

if i go to a EU country to live would they pay me their rate of benefit ? if the answer is yes then they should tell David Cameron to shut his mouth
if the answer is no however then he has the right to not pay migrants from that country that will not pay a UK citizen
At the end of the day common sense prevails as everything across the board has to be equal and that sums it up
No – they would pay OUR rate of benefit, if you have filled out the relevant form. Then they claim the money back from the UK.
You see, no EU country pays benefits for citizens of another EU country.
so that means someone from Poland should be paid by their government and not ours
so we pay them and then the uk claims it back from the polish government have i got that right mike ??
As I understand it, yes.
Thanks mike :)
