Squeeze troll Cameron live on TV: “some here are hell bent on the destruction of the welfare state” | Pride’s Purge

Last Updated: January 10, 2016By

Kudos to Tom Pride for sticking out Tory propaganda peddler The Andrew Marr Show today (January 10).

It seems the band Squeeze managed to inject some much-needed critical insight by altering the lyrics of the song they performed – in the face of the PR prime minister, David Cameron.

One can only imagine the horror among Tory-supporting BBC news executives as the band hammered Cameron’s just-announced plan to level council estates.

It will be interesting to see what band members have to say about it afterwards. Will they ever be invited back?

Appearing on the Andrew Marr show this morning, legendary group Squeeze trolled fellow guest David Cameron by changing the words in the last verse of their song Cradle to the Grave to this:

I grew up in council houses,
part of what made Britain great,
but there’s some here who are hell bent,
on the destruction of the Welfare State.

Amen!

I loved that!! Though I think for emphasis the music should have been minimised a little in that verse and the the camera should have put and kept a close up of camerons face!!!

It’s hard to believe it happened by accident. Shows the strong left-wing bias of the BBC.

      Are you insane?
The BBC absolutely did not want anything of the sort to happen.
The band squeezed it in (sorry) as an act of conscience – their own immediate response to the proposals Cameron put forward in his interview. Good for them.

Seems like despite their attempts to stifle any on-air criticism of the Camergoons Party, the BBC have been cleverly out-manouvered by The Squeeze in putting out a message that must have started a thousand mobile phones ringing across the Country by the swivelled- eyed loonies to the BBC! I love it.

Actually, the place is full of criminals:
Probation hostel manager’s pledge to worried villagers

Eton College student, 18, ‘caught with more than 1,000 indecent images of children encouraged youngsters to strip for him on a webcam’

      Simon Simpson outside Manor Lodge

The manager of a hostel housing convicted criminals on license from prison has pledged to be open and honest with anxious neighbouring villagers.

Manor Lodge approved premises has been based in Straight Road, Old Windsor, since 1967. But the recent arrest of three of its residents – recalled to prison after being charged with burglaries in the village – has reawakened concerns among its neighbours.

In November last year, every newspaper in Britain carried the story of how Scotland Yard had worked with police forces around the country to raid the rooms of teachers at private schools in search of evidence of their involvement in a paedophile ring. The more interesting story, however, was the raid which never happened.

In the weeks before the operation, specialist detectives from the Paedophile Unit at Scotland Yard had discussed with Thames Valley the possibility of raiding a teacher at the most prestigious private school in the country – Eton College, whose pupils include the off-spring of some of the most powerful families in Britain, including the heir to the throne, Prince William
And on and on and on…..

I guess Cameron, the congential liar, was no exception.

yes. what has jagger said or Bowie in recent years. Lennon said a lot but Mccartney and Ringo are sadly lacking.
liked Bowie music and its perhaps ironic that Eade in space and the recent death reports of Bowie are being used to further undermine rights of the working class.
