David Cameron has earnt up to £500,000 in rent whilst Prime Minister, it has been reported.

The allegations come days after Conservative MPs voted against an amendment to the Housing Bill which would require landlords to ensure homes are suitable for “human habitation”

According to The Mirror, since moving into 10 Downing Street in May 2010 when he first became Prime Minister, Mr Cameron has been letting out his home in the luxury London district of Notting Hill.

A similar property in the area can be rented for £1,750 per week. This would suggest that if Mr Cameron’s property were to be let for a similar rate, he would have received an estimated £500,000 in rent over the course of the past 67 months.

Research released earlier this week revealed that a growing number of MPs are landlords. 128 Conservative MPs (39 per cent) are now landlords, followed by 26 per cent of SNP MPs and 22 per cent of Labour MPs.

Chancellor George Osborne has also been revealed as renting out a residential property in London since 2011.

One assume Cameron isn’t too bothered by the announced changes to the taxation of “small landlords”, which he counts as with less than 14 properties. Although there is every reason to think his accountants have tucked it all away in a company, making sure he avoids the worst taxation, and it is rolled off shore with the rest of his ill-gotten gains. Tax? That’s just for the little people like you and me.

How many of these were purchased whilst serving as the Prime minister!

Should not any serving minister ‘give up’ outside income whilst serving their time – Ministers pay is ample enough to live on during their term of office and what they’ve milked out of the expense accounts over the years – still waiting for it to be returned in full – think the Devil will be needing a fleece onesie before that ever happens!

Let us not forget the ‘great’ David Cameron himself stated that anyone who wrongly took money from the public purse was ‘morally repugnant’!
But then he was talking about benefit claimants at the time!

This reminds me of when I was and I asked why farms are exempt from most planning regulations? The reply I got was because most Tory M.P’s had large country estates when planning legislation was being enacted. No wonder they’re so frightened of Jeremy Corbyn: as he might actually bring about policies that are for our benefit and not just theirs.

Should not target PM Cameroon as his wife is a direct descendent of King Charles who was the English Monarch in 1602.

      So what?

I guess what ‘billed’ is alluding to, is that her parents live in a 500 hundred year old castle and own a sizeable chunk (relative to the average Scot’s person) of Scotland. Of course it could still be argued, what’s that got to with it. My wife’s parents own a semi in England; he’s not one of us.
