Another Doctor has joined the ranks of those struggling against the Conservative Government – and this one is “the Definite Article, you might say”.

Yes, the Doctor has joined the fight against Jeremy Hunt’s plan to impose a new contract on junior doctors that increases their working hours and reduces their pay – a move that medics say will endanger patients.

Peter Capaldi was joined by ‘War Doctor’ Sir John Hurt, who recently won a battle against pancreatic cancer, to back the campaign which states: “Don’t let spin doctors exterminate the NHS”.

Of course we all know – don’t we? – that if the Doctor was really on the case, it would all be over soon. Jeremy Hunt take note: If that was the Doctor holding a skull, instead of the actor playing him, it wouldn’t be a prop.

It would be a promise.

“Don’t let spin doctors exterminate the NHS.” But spin doctors are what the tories are about. Step forward the King of Spin himself, dear old “Sir” Lynton. Jeremy Slipofthetongue is an apt pupil, though.
