Now even Cameron’s mum has joined the fight against his cruel cuts to services

This makes perfect sense – David Cameron himself complained about cuts to services in his home county of Oxfordshire last year.

It simply shows the amount of self-deception practised by Conservatives and their supporters.

They vote Tory, thinking that the inevitable cuts to public services will affect other people, not them or anybody they know.

But the cuts are affecting them.

So they put up a show of protest.

But it is far too late to make any difference.

All Cameron could do with Oxfordshire Council was abuse his position by offering the help of Downing Street advisors. He does not have the authority to provide their services in this way.

His mother will get short shrift from the Tory Government. Legislation allowing cuts to children’s services is already in place and won’t stop on her say-so.

Perhaps this will teach her not to vote Tory next time. She can’t be stupid enough to support a political party that has kicked her in the teeth.

Can she?

The Prime Minister’s mum Mary has signed a petition aimed at stopping Tory cuts.

Jill Huish, who runs the campaign that Mary backed, said: “It shows how deep austerity is cutting our most vulnerable when even David Cameron ’s mum has had enough.”

Mary, 81, signed a petition railing against Conservative cuts to “essential services”.

She put her name to the battle to save dozens of children’s centres that a Tory-run council is poised to close to save £8million.

Local authorities in England have had their government funding slashed by 40% since Mr Cameron entered Downing Street in 2010.

Now his mum, a retired magistrate, hopes to stop Tory attacks on public services .

She signed a petition calling on Oxfordshire county council to save 44 children’s centres.

Nice one when his own mother signs against his Government policies….Yeeeess!
These Councils now need to look deep inwardly and start culling their highly paid and pensioned directors and managers who will soon be managing diddly squat as they have either outsourced them or done away with the plebs that deliver the services. The must have nearly run out the little guys to save money so reality must be you do not need so many expensive chiefs some of whom are very lacklustre wastes of space.

been saying this about local govt for years Dez.it needs the council tax reforming.
no local govt politician should be on more than an MP, for running in some cases,
half a county.this is not to say that MP’s should be on more money, but that these fat cat
    salaries should be cut drastically.
