He just told her he's axing free school meals. Now he's saying: "Yes! That's how you'll feel every day from now on. And you'll carry on being hungry - for the rest of your life.

Too tired to think – so idiot Tories like me will do better at school because you’ll be distracted by hunger. Then we’ll have all the plum jobs. And you’ll carry on being hungry – for the rest of your life.”

Weren’t free schools meals a Liberal Democrat policy?

And now the Tories are free of the Coalition, they’re quietly killing it.

So much for honour amongst thieves.

The Tories are quietly ending a free school meals fund which has paid out more than £32 million.

Special cash grants for nearly 3,000 of the smallest infant schools will not be renewed at the end of next month – forcing them to raid other parts of their budgets.

Bonus funding helped infant schools with fewer than 150 pupils meet David Cameron ‘s pledge to provide free hot meals for every pupil.

The schools, many of them in rural areas, needed extra cash because their size meant they could not buy bulk food cheaply enough to fit their budgets.

But the grant worth well over £3,000 per school in 2014/15 was scaled back to a flat fee of £2,300 this year – and is now being axed altogether.

It is their natural state of being.

    Good news, then.

It costs more to administer the programme than it’s worth.

      Utter nonsense.
The value to the UK of having well-nourished, healthy and active youngsters who engage with their education, achieve well and go on to worthwhile careers is incalculable.

Then their parents should feed them.

They have a host of benefits to guarantee no child goes hungry.

You clearly have no experience of the UK’s current benefit system, as dismantled by the Conservative Party (with the partial help of the Liberal Democrats).

I find it difficult to understand how anybody with an ounce of common decency could have elected these nazis in.

I hope they are now hanging their heads in shame and they suffer for supporting this evil regime.

This country is finished and this bunch in charge will make sure they see it through to the end.

The only thing that we remain is prosperous banks and the rest of society will end up ill and starving and homeless. They are a cult who look after their members the rest of us can go to hell.

Now, I may be getting my wires crossed on this one, but I seem to recall a few weeks back, a woman on the Labour side back benches asked about this VERY subject in PMQs. I remember because before she asked her question, I’m sure she mentioned about the Nissan factory??? She said something like “taking hot food out of childrens mouths” Now, Cameron responded saying something along the lines of that it was a policy that the Cons brought in, and were happy to keep it, or something along those lines. Am I right on this one Mike? Or am I getting confused?

The faithful blue media never seem to robustly pick up on the Cons negative sides yet when free meals was first aired you would think third world war had been announced. At least the Libs dalliance with this satanist group of Cons held the costs for the short while they danced together.

The old Stalinist term of “enemy of the people” may be in fact true in the case of this government. A government is meant to look after it’s own people, at least up to a point.

they wouldn’t dare take 32 million off google though, but letting kids starve, some of them only get that meal because their parents are relying on foodbank use or heat or eat, child threatening tory scum

Is it any wonder Scots want independence to get away from Westminster?
