Why are Tories talking about a Labour/Plaid coalition that won’t happen?

This is not impressive from the Welsh Conservatives. Nobody is talking about a Labour/Plaid coalition at the moment.

Plans to build an M4 relief road would be “dead in the water” if Labour and Plaid Cymru are in coalition after May’s assembly election, the Welsh Conservatives have claimed.

Labour wants to build a new motorway south of Newport to ease congestion.

But the Tories said it would not happen under a Labour-Plaid government as Plaid are opposed to the relief road.

Labour called the claims “scare-mongering” and Plaid said the Tories are split on the issue.

A final decision on the M4 will not be taken until after the 5 May election.

The usual Tory “Divide and Rule” tactics.

It worked for the GE when people were scaremongered into believing a LAbour/SNP coalition would appear – they are deploying the same Crosby tactic in Wales now

Why would Plaid Cymru be against the new motorway, presumably it is along the same lines as so many of us objected to the HS2 proposal. Have to admit my ignorance on this subject matter and Plaid’s stance.

Many in Wales seem to be immune to all logic or factual information. Voters from True Blues to Labour & Plaid seem to be fed up with Carwyn, unsurprisingly for the complacency he exudes, and the parochial attitude to changes in Labour nationally under Corbyn. On many doorsteps you hear people saying that it’s time for a change, without making any attempt to understand what that will actually mean. I hope the steel issues get the message out that the Labour Party needs to be returned in Wales and Wales still needs the Labour party and EU membership, that the Tories are the main threat in many constituencies, and that it’s time the old Guard either get with the UK Labour party or retire.
