Poor Ben Baddeley.

This 11-year-old boy was left out in the cold by David Cameron because he didn’t understand that the National Health Service in England doesn’t exist to cure the sick; it is there to make money for rich people.

David Cameron wasn’t interested in Ben’s case, which is why he received a form letter – probably written by a flunky – suggesting options that had already been refused.

And when he delivers his letter in person, no doubt he’ll be received very kindly, but the smiles will be false and any promises will be hollow.

Tories don’t like seeing the consequences of their policies.

A disabled boy snubbed by David Cameron over his NHS treatment is taking his campaign to Downing Street.

Ben Baddeley has written to the Prime Minister to say why he feels “confused and let down”.

The cerebral palsy sufferer, 11, had to rely on donations from Mirror readers after his treatments were cancelled due to Tory NHS cuts.

We told how it took him hours to write to Mr Cameron due to his condition.

The PM’s reply came after two weeks – but offered treatment options which had already been ruled out.

His angry parents Amy and Gary claimed Mr Cameron had not checked on Ben’s situation before he made promises which he could not keep.

But they contacted Edward Timpson, Tory MP for Crewe and Nantwich, who has arranged for Ben to travel to London and hand in his letter personally at No 10.

It states: “I am a bit disappointed because you did not answer any of my questions. I really want to know why the NHS can’t help me. I thought it was there to help poorly people like me and all the other children the same as me.

“I am confused because you are our Prime Minister, I thought that meant you are in charge of all the big things in England.”

Cameron was ruthless and uncaring enough to publicly exploit his own disabled and dying son for some press coverage and personal political gain, so he will care not a jot for anyone else’s disabled children. I wish Ben well.

This needed to be said. Cameron has been appalling over this sort of thing. We were all publicly invited to share the Cameron family’s grief over the death of his disabled son. Perhaps the cynic in me thinks he saw a bit of political capital in it. All too many of these toffs think that they are the only people, along with their close family, who matter a jot.

I bet the public reply will be “we will have to see what we can do about this”
The memo will say “keep these stinking kids away from me”

Why doesn’t he just get a job and pay for his own treatment?

That would be the Tory attitude to an 11-year-old with cerebral palsy, yes.

Wasn’t it the mission of the NHS to care for people from the cradle to the grave.

Ben is an inspirational young man!!!

To the comment from tepidpony, child labour should have been abolished!!

The only way I could take it was as an attempt to describe how the Tories would view Ben’s case.

The despicable exploitation of children (never mind the disabled) to further their ambitions is a Tory tradition, BSE tainted burgers comes to mind. The likes of Cameron will wake in a cold sweat from nightmares as the reality of their actions dawn’s on them. The only place this Tory chariot will travel is to hell.

He will sleep easy because he doesn’t care! He probably didn’t even want to see his own son unless it was for propaganda purposes, the rest of the time he was probably being brought up by nannies away from the family. Cameron is evil in spirit as in deed!!!

But of course, as the distance from Whitehall to the door of No. 10 is more than 20 metres, his mobility allowance will be stopped!
