This is very interesting from YouGov, which is run by a Tory.

This Writer awaits a chorus of comments about the unreliability of polling company research… from Tories.

Most people oppose an open-ended withdrawal of labour by junior doctors – but a majority now blame the government for the ongoing contract dispute

Leaked emails sent last week by the chair of the British Medical Association, the doctors union, revealed that an indefinite junior doctors strike was among the options that may be considered if this week’s all-out strikes do not force Jeremy Hunt to re-open talks over the imposed new contract. Other options laid out included trainee medic resignations, junior doctors switching jobs and “alternative forms of permanent action”. Recently released figures showed 78% of junior doctors due in work did not show up yesterday, as they withdrew both routine and emergency care for the first time in NHS history.

New YouGov research for the Times reveals strong opposition to the idea of an indefinite walk-out by junior doctors. 59% say this would be the wrong thing to do, while 23% say it would be right. 39% of Labour voters say open-ended strikes would be right, while 44% say they would be wrong.

And there is an increasing tendency to blame the government over the dispute. A majority (52%) now say the government is mostly to blame for the row over the contract (up from 48% in March and 45% in February).

There has been an increase in support for doctors refusing to sign the imposed contract (34%, up from 29% in February).

But then, this Government don’t give a flying fig about public opinion anyway! What we must not lose sight of is the point that it isn’t a dispute between smarmy Hunt and the “junior” doctors, but a dispute between Government and anybody who works within, relies or may rely on the NHS!

This is all part of the Tory’s insidious and evil campaign to undermine and eventually get rid of the NHS. The Tories have hated the NHS ever since it was first formed in the 1940s.

CHunt and the tories are to blame for this shambles, not the junior doctors, them, they don’t give a toss about what the public think and say, even though they need them to get into power, they couldn’t care less, the tories want the NHS gone, simple as that, they don’t care about the health of the nation, all about how much profit they can make for themselves and bugger everyone else!

As the saying goes, “You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time”.
It seems a majority of the British people is waking up to the utterly malign intentions of the Tories.
That must be why the Tories are promoting their false Labour antisemite line.
Hopefully, they will get their complete comeuppance on May 5th.
Vote early, vote often – and vote Labour!
