David Cameron calls for ‘political courage’ to seal TTIP deal

Francois Hollande is right and David Cameron is wrong. Unregulated free trade will drive standards down and costs up.

Besides, David Cameron has been appallingly bad for the population of the UK – why should we believe anything he tells us?

… Unless he’s not referring to “the British people” but just to “British people” – people like himself and the owners of multinational companies who stand to benefit from free trade, perhaps?

This whole story suggests he’s trying to get this nasty TTIP agreement signed before the electoral fraud inquiries conclude and he loses the Parliamentary majority he needs to get it ratified.

David Cameron has said a trade deal between the EU and US is not dead despite France threatening to veto the proposal in its current form.

The prime minister said it would take “political courage to get it over the line” but the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) would be good for British people.

He insisted TTIP was still viable despite François Hollande saying on Tuesday that he would reject it “at this stage” because France was opposed to unregulated free trade.

Why would it take courage to sign something that is ‘good for the British people’?

In politician speak, courage usually means they are trying to hurt the powerless. Courage is never used in relation to such things as tax avoidance, or prosecuting the powerful is it?

I do not want big foreign business to control us any more than I want Cameron to and I certainly cannot see any net benefits to the UK if we agree to it. I like the idea of being good friends with the US but we are Europeans and need to stick together as such and continue to enjoy free trade without any further impositions which could be imposed by big business in the US or anywhere else for that matter.

The Camoron is bad for the real Britain and stands for the Cons. bank and business class elite both UK and International. This would be the end of democracy being led by the nose by big business who have no regard for liabilities legalities in the small print its all me me me £££££ ! Of course the Camoron wants it through he’s probably got loads of payback deals and appointments lined up ready for services rendered the typical Cons way of working along with many helpful civil servants etc who have greased the wheels for this pile of toot!!. The NHS has already been made ready with loads of mini privatisations already gone through many of which have fallen apart as they know diddly squat about the NHS and thought it would all be easy peasy money rake in…..and a few quid to the Cons coffers. What a shower of pirates and reptiles.

By political courage he means, carry on in contempt of the little people’s wishes …… like he always does.

Greenpeace has leaked hundreds of pages of the controversial Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) which show that negotiations may be in danger of collapsing. According to newly leaked documents, the United States and the European Union are divided on certain agreements to the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). After releasing the documents, Greenpeace Netherlands stated: These documents make clear the scale and scope of the trade citizens of the United States and the European Union are being asked to make in pursuit of corporate profits. It is time for the negotiations to stop, and the debate to begin. Should we be able to act when we have reasonable grounds to believe our health and wellbeing is at risk, or must we wait until the damage is done?
