Tom Watson listed on eBay: ‘Not working properly. May need new batteries’

Labour deputy leader Tom Watson – who has been notably quiet when he should have been supporting his boss in what has now become known as the failed ‘Chicken Coup’ against Jeremy Corbyn – has been listed for sale on auction site eBay.

Mr Watson is currently said to be trying to broker a deal between Mr Corbyn and his critics on the Labour backbenches in which some of Mr Corbyn’s policies may continue to be followed and he would then “retire gracefully”. Supporters of the Labour Party say this is not acceptable behaviour and Mr Watson is “not working properly”. In the eBay listing it is also suggested that he “may need new batteries”.

At the time of writing, the bid stands at £66,000 – a considerable sum of money for what the seller admits may be damaged goods.

The listing continues:

Here we have Tom Watson for sale. He is a Labour MP and is the Deputy leader of the Labour Party. I am selling him because I need to have a clear out and he isn’t doing much. I think he is supposed to challenge the Tories and speak at events and help the Labour Party but he seems to not really work properly. Possibly needs new batteries?  Anyway I have decided to put him up for sale spares or repairs. He comes with some very nice designer glasses. I’m selling him with no reserve. Buyer to collect or I can put him on a pallet and have him delivered. Check out my other figures! I have a lovely Hilary Benn action figure. He talks about bombing and undermining the democratically elected leader of the Labour party.  THANKS FOR LOOKING and HAPPY BIDDING.

The punchline is, of course, as follows: “This is a photo of Tom and not the real man.

“Just a bit of lighthearted humour in the otherwise sad meltdown of the Parliamentary Labour Party at a time they should be challenging the Tories alongside Corbyn and the rank and file members.”

Get the message, Tom?

If I were Jeremy Corbyn I’d be asking the Labour electorate if they had confidence in the elected membership of the shadow cabinet or would they like to request a vote of no confidence and elect another constituent member as their representative in the Labour Party!
As it seems most of those elected are more than happy to turn their backs on Democracy!
The man at the top’s fine, the rest by their actions appear to be nothing more than blue coloured turncoats! Deselect them and start again!
