Cameron may have retired but we still have to put up with his nasty little sidekick

Not fair at all: We love this shot of George Osborne because it clarifies perfectly that, as with Michael Howard before him, there is "something of the night" about him. Did YOU believe him when he said it is fair to punish the poor for an economic recession they never made, while rewarding the rich who did the damage?

Did YOU believe him when he said it is fair to punish the poor for an economic recession they never made, while rewarding the rich who did the damage?

It would have been too much to hope that George Osborne would retire from politics, write his memoirs and infest the board of some mean-spirited corporate exploiter like his friend David Cameron.

But his Northern Powerhouse project is a busted flush, so if he wants to waste his time on it, let him.

It is to his credit that he has decided to stick it out on the back benches, but This Writer’s instincts suggest that Mr Osborne is simply trying to find another way to make a profit from it.

George Osborne says he will stay in the Commons to “fight for the things I care about” as he launches a think tank to promote his Northern Powerhouse plan.

There had been a “bit of a wobble” by Mrs May over the project, he said.

No 10 says Mrs May is building on his plan to create a northern economy to rival London and the South East.

The MP for Tatton in Cheshire returned to the back benches following Mrs May’s cabinet reshuffle, and said chairing the new body – the Northern Powerhouse Partnership – would “now be a major focus of my political energies”.

Osborne is allegedly working for free for the Northern Powerhouse Consortium! Maggie May has moved quickly however to “cut him off at the Pass” so to speak by establishing a Northern Powerhouse Minister who will have direct responsibility for any such nonsense by reporting directly to her. It is no secret that Osborn hates May and vice versa. Osborn is doing this just to annoy her and get his revenge for being so unceremoniously dumped the minute she became PM. I am not fussed so long as he doesn’t keep popping up on TV wearing a hi-viz jacket and safety helmet.

So he’s created a nice little niche for himself to keep his political profile in the public eye while waiting (and plotting) for his new leader to fail leaving the door open for the men in suits to sink her and turn to him as saviour of the Tory party. God help us.

Osbourne was delighted to announce that Michael Bloomberg, the ex-mayor of New York, will be offering his advice for the Northern Poorhouse too. If they follow his record in New York, this will mean plenty of our-sourcing, turbo-charged gentrification, endless stop-and-searching and very dubious big-money projects, all insulated from criticism from the left by all the right identity politicing stances.

No thanks…..there are enough lying Con plonkers running loose with personal agendas. Certainly would not want to vet his CV as the Country knows first hand his negative track record. Byeeeee. Next?

I’m fed up getting annoyed at the greedy little coward.
So in a lighter spirit, I chose to highlight his sudden disappearances every time things go wrong..

    Osborne’s such a slimy pleb
    With morals that are lacking
When danger rears it’s ugly head
    You’ll always find him packing

Personally, I’d like to see them BOTH (that’s Cameron & Osborne) in prison, for the damage they’ve done to this country, i.e. the lives that have been lost, but sadly, I doubt that’ll ever happen. Never mind the Tory election fraud!
