Tory MPs say Theresa May is more right-wing than ‘liberal’ Cameron. Is she still left of Mussolini?

Some of these Tory MPs need to check their own position.

David Cameron led one of the most right-wing government’s the United Kingdom has had – certainly for a generation – and they’re calling him a liberal?

He cut public spending to the bone, clamped down on civil freedoms, and increased privileges for the obscenely rich. That’s liberal, is it?

No. It’s extremely right-wing.

One wonders what horrors Mrs May is preparing to unleash on us.

Theresa May faces a stand-off with MPs loyal to David Cameron who fear she is abandoning the politcal centre and moving the Conservatives to the right.

Despite being in office for just two months, the Prime Minister is being eyed with concern by some Tories who feel they won their seats only because of former leader David Cameron’s liberal agenda.

At the same time Ms May is under pressure from the right wing of the Conservatives to maintain a strong position on leaving the European Union.

She also faces potential revolts over her controversial grammar schools plan and the constituency boundary review, which could see Tory MPs losing their seats.

Mr Cameron surprised many in Westminster when he announced he would stand down as an MP this week, saying he did not want to be a distraction for the new Prime Minister – something that was already starting to happen.

Labour had gleefully passed round a string of Mr Cameron’s quotations on how he disliked grammar schools hours after Ms May announced she would let new ones open. But while Mr Cameron will be gone, his legacy on the Tory benches remains.

Old Etonian Cameron had no real life experience when he became the British Prime Minister. As for his side kick(Osborne), we all remember his stupid analysis of our UK; “scroungers and strivers”.

One cannot compare incompetent, arrogant Cameron with the more experienced Mrs May. We all remember his Old Etonian chum Osborne’s “scrounger-striver” analysis.

Those MP’s now raising ‘concerns’ over May’s political orientation only got elected in 2015 because Scameron deceived the electorate into thinking he was an old time ‘liberal Tory’ when in reality, in cahoots with Osborne he followed an extremely rightwing agenda. May is posturing, trying to present herself as a 2016 version of Thatcher, all macho speak and ‘not for turning’. But she is no Thatcher. She has no skills at the despatch box and looks timid and awkward in the company of the EU officials who are mostly male. She is out of touch with the aspirations not only of those who oppose her politically but increasingly with her own MP’s.

Will this end in a Tory civil war? I hope so.
