Ludicrous. But likely? Latest right-wing plan to undermine Jeremy Corbyn

Last Updated: September 27, 2016By

This just in from Steve Walker of the Skwawkbox blog (latest post here):

“So ludicrous it’s likely true – from a well-placed source.”

So the right-wingers at the Labour Conference want to keep people out of the hall when Jeremy Corbyn is delivering his speech in order to make it seem as though he has no supporters.

After nearly 62 per cent of voters in the Labour Party gave him a landslide victory in a leadership election?

Wow.

And these are the people who are going to lead us to general election victory?

Please, if you’re attending conference, make sure this silly idea fails to get past the lobby.

If there’s a “shortage of tickets” and you’re told you can’t go in – demand proof that the hall is full. If it isn’t, then kick up a stink about it. Humiliate everybody involved – starting with the person who tried to stop you getting in. Demand to know who told them to do it, and then drag that person into it too. Go right up the chain until you find the ringleaders and expose them.

And tell every mainstream media hack about it, as well.

Then take your seat and enjoy the speech.

Desperate is as desperate does. Let’s see just how many can get in despite yet another gerrymandering!

Like most genuine Labour supporters I am totally fed up with the gerrymandering by these so-called Labour but with Tory aspirations excuses for executives and I feel it is time that we found a way to get our correctly elected leader back into full power without whom we have no chance of ever having an open and balanced democracy. As for winning the next election with this lot blocking progress there is no chance.

Well….. if the LP rules are just being over-ruled/made-up whenever certain people feel like it, then anything is possible!

The rumour mill grinds. Where’s the evidence for this story? The whole thing sounds a bit made up to me.

Well whatever you do people be unfailingly polite about it, as its just as likely to be a ploy to get an incident in the press which can be spun as violent or abusive.

This is exactly what I was going to say. I remember reading that LP staff have had training to deal with violent behaviour at conference. They are looking for trouble. Please take care of yourselves.

This is beyond ridiculous! Enough! When will they stop? Why do they carry on? What is their aim? What is the point of elections, if the result is ignored? Every paper is telling us of polls which say that £abour will never get anywhere near government. Everything that I see and hear is deigned to undermine Mr. Corbyn’s leadership. When will these people accept that we have REJECTED the others, their way?

The tactic appears to have failed, the hall appears to be packed solid.

Yes indeed. What was Mr Corbyn saying about 800 empty seats on Virgin trains?

If this is true, are there no limits to the skullduggery

I was told that only sugary drinks were made available to discourage diabetics from being in the audience most of whom, like the great leader himself, avoid sweet things like the plague, hence reducing the number of Corbyn supporters in the audience.

    Fiendish.
