Why should doctors resign because of the #NHSCrisis caused by Theresa May and Jeremy Hunt?

Theresa May and Jeremy Hunt are the Tory fools who have created the crisis in the English NHS. Tell them they are to blame. Tell them they should resign now.

The more I think about the unreasonable comments and demands made by Theresa May and her health secretary Jeremy Hunt, the less acceptable they seem.

We are told senior GPs could resign in huge numbers because Mrs May has irrationally chosen to scapegoat them for the humanitarian crisis sweeping the National Health Service in England. But why should they?

Surely we can all see where responsibility really lies?

The Conservatives aren’t responsible for the NHS in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland – and those countries aren’t experiencing any crisis – except possibly where their services are reliant on facilities based in England.

The Conservatives are responsible for the NHS in England, and it is in England that the crisis has occurred.

Therefore Theresa May and Jeremy Hunt are responsible for causing the current crisis; so Theresa May and Jeremy Hunt should resign.

Why are high-profile politicians and medical leaders not already demanding their heads on a plate?

Theresa May seems keen to blame anybody but herself – she tried to pin the crisis on the elderly before claiming that A&E departments are buckling because she thinks GPs are lazy.

Enough is enough.

Whenever Mrs May, Mr Hunt or any other Tory (with the exception of Dr Sarah Wollaston, who has spoken up for the NHS, thereby proving she is in the wrong political party altogether) tries to run down the NHS, its doctors, nurses, specialists, workers or users, let’s just tell them:

“No. You are to blame. Resign.”

It’s a simple message, and easy to repeat.

Put it out there a few times and even our Tory-loving mass media might get the hang of it.

Much as though I enjoy the sentiments of the members of the Tory party doing the honourable thing in your blog mr sivier, I’ll spend my time keeping this snowball warm for its trip to hell. The conservatives don’t understand public service, if they did … they wouldn’t have let IDS on his welfare crusade Or told people clearly unfit for work to go back in the name of the British economy. I’ll just remind you the NHS was one of the keystone CONs used in the Tory election campaign. If anyone else is reading…they’ve let us all down.

Oh, I don’t need lectures on Tory duplicity. Remember, I’m one of the people who exposed Iain Duncan Smith’s DWP for what it was – and continues to do so.
Public pressure can push Tories out of office, though. The instant they realise that staying in place is damaging their party’s future prospects, they’ll go – or they’ll be pushed. We’ve seen it before, even in these shameless times.

They should resign, unfortunately what do you replace them with, more of the same, making decisions with no accountability, hiding behind parliamentary priviledge, lying, normal tory party behaviour, affecting the only people that are really hurt by there policies, perhaps there needs to be a look at everything at the top first and that includes private patients, who jump patient list all the time, have a certain amount of beds are set aside for private patients, so let take a look at the private patient list, let them have there private patient hospitals sponsored by bupa etc, the private patient list should be exactly that away from mainstream nhs,if a private patient has to go into nhs hospitals for treatment, theres the waiting list,if a gp treats a private patient no problem, the practice collects the private patient money, the private sector if they have to use nhs services should refer at cost and be charged accordingly and yes Theresa and all her tory mates , were talking about you, join the waiting list, the one that has been caused by badly thought out policies such as wca, which any health proper professional will tell you what impact that has had on the NHS, your party has caused all these policies and a to late speech about mental health and how brilliant you are has not worked, so what are you going to do now, the usual i see blame everybody else apart from yourselves, i used to coin the tory party as the nasty horrible lying party, i missed selfish, awful, ignorant, arrogant and clueless, perhaps you need to put that in as your new manifest to describe yourselves, it is not far of the truth, though you won’t admit that as truth hurts.

Excellent analysis, but I can’t agree that Sarah Woolastone is in the wrong party. She may have defended the NHS but gas supported all the cuts to social care budgets and benefits. She, as a GP, should have been uniquely placed to understand the consequences of neglect and poverty on the mist vulnerable and the chronically Ill. She must have known the suffering and death it would result in, and that it would result in greater demands on the NHS.

Perhaps I should’ve said she’s in the wrong party with regard to this matter.
I don’t really have much time for her. She seems a very confused lady.

What a good way to get rid of the NHS and to push for even more private health which few could afford.

Haven’t we been here before in the 80’s and 90’s, the last time the tories were in control. Then, as now, they tried to sell off huge chunks of the NHS. Then as now there were ambulances queuing with patients, patients left on trolleys in corridors, people not being able to be discharged as there was nowhere for them to go. Social care being in the same disgraceful place then as now. The tories are not fit to run a p—–ss up in a brewery. When will people learn, these people do not want a NHS they want a return to the 20’s and 30’s when we had to pay for medical treatment of any kind. The only way to save our NHS is to have a general election, get these self serving tories out of power and get the country off its knees.
