Tory Council cancels huge tax hike after chat with Tory Government. Corruption?

The story says, “Council leader David Hodge … suggested Ministers are now considering offering extra cash in the future to councils like his own.”

Oh really? Councils like his own, eh?

Tory councils.

A Tory-led council in one of the richest parts of England has dropped plans to hike council tax by 15% after last-minute talks with the Government.

Surrey County Council said it will now join scores of other towns halls by hiking local rates by 4.99% this year – the maximum allowed by Government without a local referendum.
