Donald Trump’s ‘dead cat’ tactics won’t divert attention away from his Russian connections

This is a desperate, ‘dead cat’ diversionary tactic by Donald Trump.

Perhaps he is heading for Watergate-style infamy – and far faster than Richard Nixon.

The US president’s joint address to Congress this week was … rapidly overshadowed by revelations that his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, had twice spoken with the Russian ambassador during last year’s presidential election.

As it has emerged that other members of the Trump campaign – including his son-in-law Jared Kushner – also met with the ambassador, Sergey Kislyak, the Kremlin connection seems destined to be the putative scandal that will not go away for the White House.

The relentless drip-drip of evidence has prompted comparisons with the Watergate affair that felled President Richard Nixon.

On Friday, the White House tried to steer criticism of Trump associates and their meetings with Russian officials away, by drawing parallels with Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer, who was photographed meeting with the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, in 2003.

In a characteristic diversionary tactic, Trump tweeted an old photo of Schumer and Putin smiling and snacking together with the message: “We should start an immediate investigation into @SenSchumer and his ties to Russia and Putin. A total hypocrite!”

Schumer swiftly replied: “Happily talk re: my contact w Mr. Putin & his associates, took place in ’03 in full view of press & public under oath. Would you &your team?

Watergate wasn’t the real scandal. COINTELPRO was. Russia isn’t the main story here either.
    Dig deeper.

Regret Donald Trump is not the knight in armour saving the people of USA but is definitely a dark Trojan Horse. One only has to research his recent past and his relationships and interests to see quite quickly he is but another of the same glabalists but wearing sheep clothing. It’s beginning to feel he was just considered a better bet than Hillary and has fooled the electorate with what he was going to do. He aint going to drain no swamp or sort out the FDA and the EDA or any other US Agency he’s going to fill them. As for disclosing the goings on with the Towers never going to happen he has just appointed the biggest king pin in covering up and destroying the twin tower evidence immediately after the event ie the ex mayor of New York….yup he is starting to fill the swamp all right.

The US are doing another witch hunt on Russian to get at Trump they can’t find any other way its sick, but they are happy at $64 Billion extra on war when its own country is dying and the UK send a prat to tell them to attack Russia more.
Its a pity when the war comes it will not be them or there kids that will go and fight

Absolutely disgusting that Trump’s reconciliation with Russia will lead to an ending of US anti- Russian rhetoric predicated on war.
