Tories refuse call to consult over benefit changes that target the disabled for cuts

Last Updated: March 17, 2017By

Tory ministers have refused a watchdog’s call to delay part of their “nasty” disability benefit shake-up.

The Social Security Advisory Committee had asked the government to consult further over a law that stops 165,000 people getting higher Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

But replying after the law took force today, disabilities minister Penny Mordaunt said: “We still believe that the decision we made was correct and have no plans to consult.”

They “still believe”, what sort of brainwashing do you have to go through to become a Tory MP?

Be fair they can’t look after the idle non productive members of society and those fine upstanding bankers at the same time. Every time I se Ms Mordaunts name it strikes me as apt for her behaviour, burning and corrosive.

There will never be a consult over the deaths that they’ve caused, the more they kill off, the happier they will be!

There will never be any research or impact assessment because the DWP exists in a bubble of the biopsychosocial model, getting more extreme, cultish and unfit for purpose, as it gets further tainted by the class war eugenics of the Tory party and neoliberalism.

The only research ever funded by the DWP was back in 2006, £5million on the PACE study. It was to assess treatment for CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome). This study was never well received in peer reviews, and has recently been throroughly demolished. This hadn’t stopped the DWP from using the badly flawed self-referential PACE “proof” of the treatment of the biopsychosocial model of disability from Unum and Aylward to underpin their new IAPT Work and Health programme being rolled out right now. Basically it treats unemployment as an illness, and illness as a personal failing, such that chronic illness is a self induced state of delusion that can be cured by CBT administered by untrained “health professionals” under duress in the jobcentre. This is where the concept of Work as a Health outcome arises, ie a sick person being “treated” by being made to work, to bring about a cure of the state of being unemployed, not because the original illness is cured, because (deep breath) there is no such thing as chronic illness, just people who have taught themselves to be ill and think ill.

So the short version is, there is no need apparently for mobility payments to lead swinging, fraudulent, “pill popping” self deluded work avoiders. A short course of CBT will be a guaranteed cure. If you continue to claim to be ill after CBT you will be considered a proven fraud, and so will lose your benefits even quicker. Doctors need not get involved at all in this miracle cure.

Just like the witches chair alluded to in the cartoon, but of course the only chair involved is that of “professor” Aylward in his Unum funded university Dept. Did I mention he was the Chief Medical Officer in the DWP when PACE was funded?
