Of course the UK can turn back from Brexit. It can even be turned back by others…

Last Updated: March 29, 2017By

A lying toad: Theresa May tells Parliament there is no turning back from Brexit. This is simply untrue.

For information: Theresa May is a lying toad.

A leaked resolution from the European Parliament shows Theresa May is fundamentally lying about Article 50, on the day she invokes it.

The Prime Minister invoked Article 50, the process for leaving the EU, on 29 March. She has notified European Council President Donald Tusk by letter.

In May’s accompanying statement, she said: “This is an historic moment from which there can be no turning back.”

But a leaked resolution from the European Parliament shows that is simply not true: The UK will be able to revoke its notification of Article 50 but this must be “subject to conditions set by all EU27 so they cannot be used as a procedural device or abused in an attempt to improve the actual terms of the United Kingdom’s membership”.

While the process is vague at this initial stage, the resolution’s guiding principles clearly state that the UK has the power to stop Article 50. So contrary to May’s statement, Britain could turn back.

72 per cent of the EU’s remaining 27 states must accept the incoming withdrawal agreement. Then, it must pass through the European Parliament on a simple majority vote.

we don’t know what brexit looks like and those that voted for it haven’t a clue either.

Those that did vote for brexit and that’s for voting for something that they were told by a bunch of mp’s who would never be classed as reliable beggars belief in the first place

It’s hard to believe that so many foolish people exist in the uk and it’s no wonder the county is in the mess it is in with so many gullible people living in it

i’m afraid words fail me mike but that life a fool and his money are soon parted as they say

Be careful with your language. You are making, in your statement, a huge assumption, that all people who voted to terminate our membership of the European Union did so for the same reason, were stupid, manipulated, incapable of reason, or independent thought etc. People voted for myriad reasons. People knew what they were voting for and why. People did their research. NOBODY knows what the future holds, other that the fact that one day we will all die. Do not assume that you know better than everybody else. You have an opinion, which you are entitled to express but do not think that yours is the only one that counts, or is correct.

Many people really didn’t know what they were voting for. That has become clear with the howl of protest as each Leave promise is revealed to have been a lie.

the bottom line zippy is that you never vote or purchase anything unless advised to do so by someone of integrity or has shown some sort of leadership qualities in their past

brexit had no one in their camp who was classed as someone of honesty and integrity so therfour only a fool would have gone along on those lines and voted as such

good or bad brexit it’s the principal and procedure that’s more important for me as that’s the guidelines i have been brought up with’ and that’s to only support someone that has leadership qualities and understands the values of honesty and integrity

well at least she is honest there is no turning back, then again at least she is showing what tory is good at doing.

Lies, Lies and even more lies, have a election sometime, and they will find some home truths, then they can pack there bags, take there sponging third world companies with them and stay on Panama, while someone else comes out and sorts the mess that they will have got this country into

There is no turning back is of course a rhetorical statement as any snowflake remainer will tell you there is no legal reason why it can’t be reversed, the point is that the democratic vote would have to be ignored, and that would be far more destructive for this nation than any doom ridden scenario remain have so far managed to dream up. Of course the process is vague it was decided over several years at a lowest common denominator level by 28 nations with different constitutions and views on the the whole thing, indeed it seems the EU is still unsure of what it is supposed to do now.

      “Snowflake”?
Typical – when they don’t have an argument, people like Barry resort to belittling their opponents with insults.
Well, snowflake, if that’s all you’ve got, I take it you’re admitting defeat because there is no reason at all for denying the British public a chance to change their mind, if Brexit turns out not to be the magic pill we’ve all been promised by your Vote Leave/Leave.EU snake-oil salespeople.
You don’t know how destructive Brexit will be. A simple decision not to go through with it is entirely survivable.

Exactly. NOBODY knows what the future holds.
