Where’s the Tory ‘magic money tree’? They can’t provide ANY figures to support their promises

Last Updated: May 18, 2017By

Apologies for the crudity of the image but it’s the best I can do.

Oh, the irony! The Tories have spent so much time criticising Labour politicians on their sums, they haven’t done any of their own!

Labour has compiled a list of around 40 uncosted policies in the Conservative manifesto. Here it is (click on the images to get larger, readable versions):

Ah, but can they give the prices of these policies in person? Let’s ask:

That’ll be a “no”, then. Oh, wait, here’s Michael Gove:

Can we make it a hat-trick? Of course we can. Here’s Philip Hammond:

So much for the Party of Financial Responsibility!

They haven’t done their sums, they haven’t done their homework. They’re making it up as they go along!

Labour’s policies were costed to the limit of feasibility and the Tories – and the Tory-led media – did their best to rubbish them.

Conservative policies are plucked from the air. And how will they pay for these plans?

From the magic money tree, it seems.

Now you know why the national debt has doubled under Conservative leadership.

Vote Labour on June 8 – because then you’ll know exactly how your money is being spent.

Nobody in the media challenges these Tory fraudsters properly. Why don’t they savage them like they did with Diane Abbott?

Thanks for sharing. Having poured through the list most of it is just a list of “nice to haves” that have appeared many times before but never happened or likely to happen going on their track record of lying about everything. No need to cost something you know will never happen.

The truth so many cannot see is that the average person is what the Tories see as their money tree. Not only do they pay their direct taxes but they also pay a higher rate in indirect taxes that support tax cuts for the rich.
