‘Frit’: Theresa May runs away from Woman’s Hour invitation

Last Updated: June 1, 2017By

Theresa May: She’s done radio before – so why not now?

After all the fuss over Jeremy Corbyn forgetting a figure from Labour’s fully-costed manifesto on the BBC’s Woman’s Hour, perhaps we should be unsurprised that Theresa May has turned down the show’s invitation to appear.

That’s right – the woman who called a general election, convinced she was supremely popular with the general public, is running away from public exposure yet again.

She’s frit – that means frightened, according to Margaret Thatcher.

That’s about the size of it.

It’s only when you see some of Mrs May’s recent performances that you realise what a wise move this is. Watch:

And, as stated below, it seems she has been “rumbled” by the media:

The longer this election goes on, the more it seems that commentators were right when they said Theresa May was put in charge to carry the can when Brexit negotiations go sideways (as, it seems, everyone thinks they will).

Rather than take the fall, it seems she may have called the election to take the other Tories down with her.

That’s the trouble with Tories, you see. They’re very selfish.

Mrs May simply isn’t a team player.

I certainly hope the entire Conservative Party pays for its mistake.

Because, if Jeremy Corbyn can win this election, the whole of the UK will benefit from it.

Is it me, I don’t normally notice the way people dress, but there is something rather disturbing about these neck-less’s May has been sporting. Giant Pearls, Ships anchor chain, and now, pieces that look distinctly like lumps of coal. Just who is she trying to subliminally target. Big as they are, none will give her the buoyancy she needs to survive this debacle of a contest.

Not surprised. She might have to meet real people, instead of the usual ten hand-picked party faithful stooges or, horror of horrors, even answer a presenter’s question which hasn’t been approved beforehand.
