Tory lead cut to just three per cent. Theresa May’s gamble has failed
Whichever way you slice it, the Conservatives just don’t have enough support to win a Parliamentary majority now – according to the pollsters.*
We’re all aware of the YouGov poll that showed the Conservatives falling 16 seats short of a majority. That was a major upset for the Tory campaign and – if confirmed on election day – would seal Theresa May’s doom as one of the shortest-tenured prime ministers in UK history.

Two new polls show the Tory lead narrowed to just three points: The latest from YouGov –
Westminster voting intention:
CON: 42% (-1)
LAB: 39% (+3)
LDEM: 7% (-2)
UKIP: 4% (-)(via @YouGov / 30 – 31 May)

Where does this leave Theresa May?
Well, it leaves her exactly where she put herself: Out in the cold.
She wanted to make the election about Brexit – but her reluctance to face any kind of criticism means people have no reason to believe she can bring anything to the EU negotiating table:

Her manifesto promises are cruel to the poor and – most damningly – uncosted:

It is now entirely possible that Jeremy Corbyn can win the general election – if we can persuade enough senior citizens to vote in their own interests (against the winter fuel allowance cuts and the dementia tax), and if enough young people vote for theirs.
Whether those things happen or not, one thing is certain:
Theresa May has lost.
*You all know This Writer is sceptical of the polls. I remain so – although one of those mentioned in this article is unweighted and therefore more likely to be accurate.

Just got to erode the 3% lead now. These nasty Tory scum need to be electorally wiped out.
After spending most of the past year going to court to try to stop her own MPs having any say over Brexit and postponing initiating the process to the last possible moment, it’s just possible that Theresa’s ‘Team’ might have been less than enamoured with her antics, and she might have been been told privately that if she didn’t stop faffing around, then she would find herself gong the way of Margaret Thatcher.
Maybe Theresa’s cunning plan was to run to the country, leaving her MPs scrambling to keep their own seats rather than trying to oust her as leader.
She already had a Commons majority and all the Brexit mandate needed, so perhaps what she was hoping to shore up with a landslide was her own position within her party.
This might also explain her complete lack of preparedness to openly defend her position in any way, and her shabolic cobbled-together manifesto.
Given her reputation for being anything but empathetic, Theresa’s contingency plan could just be a spiteful determnation to take the rest of her MPs down with her.

Theresa May has made it clear, we would be stupid not to vote for her, what would we be if we did?
Imbecilic.
The good news for this loser is that the International Gurning Championships are coming up in September……now that she will win!
She has certainly been practicing hasn’t she?
