Jeremy Corbyn – a PM-in-waiting who can afford to wait. But can we?

He said Labour would benefit from by-elections that would remove any remaining possibility of a Conservative government, and Brexit would sink Theresa May.
But can the Conservatives afford to make Mr Corbyn wait? Already they are trailing in the opinion polls, and a Tory attempt to negotiate Brexit will undoubtedly make this situation worse for them.
Meanwhile, Mr Corbyn has made a barnstorming appearance on The Andrew Marr Show, promising to put forward an alternative Queen’s Speech with Labour policies, saying headline Tory policies are now doomed, and reveling in the support of the nation’s young voters.

Mr Heseltine is right – it is only a matter of time until Jeremy Corbyn becomes Prime Minister. And he can afford to wait?

As you say its got to be JC4PM, but the sooner the better. The Tory Party can then get on with their nasty quarrel without bringing the rest of us down with them.
I understand that it’s frustarting to be so near but yet so far but Corbyn has always played the “long game” and it has worked out well for him so far.
The Tories are left “chasing their own tail” yet again concentrating their efforts on appearing strong which are actually just attempts at fixing problems of their own making and they will suffer badly as a result.
“Hey ! Captain May… your ship is sinking, what will the rats do now?”
Sooner some of those old Labour leadership abstaining MPs kiss ‘n make up the better. I had hoped after the first leadership battle they would have got their brain cells together and got over it but no it took another sneaky election and some major skull duggery at Central Office and still they remained where the sun did not shine. At last they now know, proof positive, their leader was right under their noses all the time. Hopefully they will now get on with putting Labour back leading the country. It was good to see some of them lately back where they belong on the screens giving confirdence to the electorate……Carolyn Flint back on screen with scruff Peston today excellant, confident, great looking and strong presentation would welcome her back in the front line anytime. If some of the old right wingers can still not smell the coffee after this election they need to consider their position and move on
Seems to me that DUP are playing hard ball with May as I don’t think they really want to be part of her shambolic desperation politics. They can see that she is a dead woman walking towards political oblivion and do that seriously want to be tainted with that.
