Will Theresa May demote Boris Johnson, rather than getting rid of him altogether?

That would weigh on the minds of anyone considering supporting him in a leadership challenge.
Ultimately it could kill his political career.
But that does depend on the amount of support he has in the Parliamentary Conservative Party.
If they’ve been keeping an eye on the news and on its commentators, This Writer would say: Not a lot.
Not any more, anyway.
Prime Minister Theresa May signalled in an interview that she might demote Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, a Sunday newspaper said, after she faced an open rebellion from within her party this week.
The Sunday Times said it asked May about her plans for Johnson, who has professed loyalty but is accused by some of the prime minister’s allies of undermining her by putting forward his own vision for Britain’s exit from the European Union.
“It has never been my style to hide from a challenge and I‘m not going to start now,” it quoted May as replying, in what it called a signal that she was prepared to bring in new ministers to her cabinet and axe those who had caused her problems.
“I‘m the PM, and part of my job is to make sure I always have the best people in my cabinet, to make the most of the wealth of talent available to me in the party.”
The Observer newspaper said unnamed senior Conservative figures said while May had no long-term future they were pressing her to shake up her team of ministers, hoping new blood would re-energise the party as well as frustrate Johnson’s ambitions.

May: “It has never been my style to hide from a challenge and I‘m not going to start now,” 1) During the Election she hid from the challenge of speaking to real people as much as she possibly could. 2) During the Election she hid from the challenge of attending a TV debate. 3) Since Boris has been Foreign Insulter, er, Foreign Secretary he has constantly back-stabbed May and shown astonishing arrogance, incompetence and woefully bad judgment on just about everything he has done, and so far May has constantly hidden from the challenge of doing anything at all to control or silence him. Every single thing May says is a Lie, a catchphrase, plagiarised or pipe-dreamy waffle and piffle.
Just shows that May has no sense of shame at all. How on earth can she talk about having the “best people” and at the same time keep the proven liar and full time idiot Johnson in the cabinet?
I was rather amused by a Sky news headline that said “More than 90% of Tory MPs back Theresa May”.
A cabinet reshuffle is being threatened, they would say that – the self-centred Tory MP’s only want to save their own skins and salaries.
