Man dies ‘due to overcrowding’ at A&E department

Last Updated: March 10, 2018By

Northampton General Hospital: “Unprecedented demand.”

The blame lies with Jeremy Hunt, Theresa May, Andrew Lansley and David Cameron. Always remember that.

An elderly man died due to “dangerous overcrowding” at an accident and emergency department, an NHS trust’s medical director has said.

The 85-year-old suffered cardiac arrest while waiting to be treated for stomach pains at Northampton General Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

In an email leaked to Health Service Journal (HSJ), the trust’s medical director Matthew Metcalfe said the patient died “due entirely to the dangerous overcrowding of the department”.

And they have cut the A&E departments and halved emergency departments so in Hastings and Eastbourne once both had maternity units and stroke units. Both need instantly to get to hospital as soon as possible.

Now there is only a stroke unit at Eastbourne and Maternity unit at Hastings

People die of strokes or in matter of lcoal Leader of Labour and Council Jeremy Birch he had a stroke while canvassing in town centre. His stupid Labour colleagues did not know what to do and ignored the stroke advice as seen on telly

They dithered, then “WALKED” Jeremy with his strokes activating to the town hall, sat him there. when ambulance came and took him to Hastings Conquest his stroke was so advanced they put him in artificial coma. He had to stay there as moving him was dangerous, so no transfer to Eastbourne, and he died.

And several babies have been born at side of road on way to the only maternity unit.

    GRRR!!! AAARRGH!!

Dont vote :Labour they will frogmarch you several hundred yards while you have a stroke wont call an ambulance but dither until it is too late.

    DUH!! Wot shall we do?

Not first or last of their Dumbo actions

EVER WORKED IN A&E? OR EMERGENCY AND CRISIS?

I HAVE, HAVE TO KNOW IT, NOT LIKE CASUALTY OR HOLBY CITY YOU KNOW.

And you have described a single, isolated situation and want us to take it as indicative of the level of knowledge across all 570,000 Labour Party members.

      Please. That’s not realistic.
