Tory Britain: Commuters refuse to give up disabled seats for blind man and guide dog

Last Updated: March 31, 2018By

In Tory Britain, prejudice of all kinds has increased.

Against Jewish people.

Against Muslims.

Against people born outside the UK.

And, most of all, against the sick and disabled.

It’s no secret that the stress of rush-hour can bring out the worst in commuters. Amit Patel, 37, discovered this for himself last week, when he was refused a seat in the disabled section of a Southeastern train despite being blind and accompanied by guide dog Kika.

This isn’t the first time Patel was the subject of terrible treatment on the tube. In February, Kika’s GoPro captured the moment a commuter ordered him to move on an escalator despite travelling with his guide dog.

Unfortunately, priority seats are still treated as a suggestion as opposed to a requirement. Southeastern, for example, has Priority Seating cards and badges, but it only takes the refusal of one grumpy passenger to complicate the lives of people who truly need assistance.

A sorry and sad reflection on society.

Not too surprising, my wife and I both armed with walking aids, she with a stick, me with crutches, have on occasion travelled on a train filled with commuters and it has taken me ending up in the lap of some commuter with my 25 stone weight before anyone offered their seats to us.

6 years of camerons mantra “for hardworking people” sueley has created this effect on the disabled incapacitated and sick who are not considered hardworking.

I was surprised how ignorant people are and prejudiced to point of not helping a disabled

Adam Lotun of Workplace Disability Adjustments Constultancy said it was quite normal and I was maybe used to people in North and other parts of country of being friendly and helpful but video a blind man took who was obviously blind asking for directions in a southern county and the people went out their way to avoid him and pretend they were not there surprised and shocked me

If a blind person or any person was asking Can anyone help me? I need directions Can you tell me which street I am on” anyone I know would go up
tell them who they were and help the. Disgusting people avoid and walk past and walk around not even answering

However in Hastings while severely ill myself with strokes and uncoordinated and nano memory and organisation I met a woman worse in Lidles.

Mary was 89 I thought she had a stroke but she was blind and paralysed down one side because someone broke in and beat her up in her bed.

    Got away with it

Anyway her support worker after her attack thought Mary had to do things for herself and learn how to cope so took her to Lidles took her in and left her in a aisle to do shopping alone.

Although blind and paralysed down oneside and crying out and asking for help and if anyone was there, would you believe everyone walked passed and avoided and pretended not to be there

although highly not OK myself I introduced myself and helped her find what she wanted buy it and take it to cashier.

But how bloody ridiculous can you get

and the volunteer counsellor after her attack asked WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU DID TO CAUSE YOUR SELF TO BE ATTACKED and WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU COULD DO DIFFERENT IN FUTURE

and police decided Mary keeping the light on at night for comfort warranted her being broken into, to point of cutting through window security bars and being beaten to a pulp. It was her fault brought it on herself.

    No Friggin Hope.

This is normal no support no help no common sense after an attack or incident. Just condescending counsellors telling you asked for it and brought it on yourself.

    DISGUSTING!
