Naked opportunism by Liberal Democrats over Labour ‘anti-Semitism’ row

Vince Cable: Still helping the Tories.

Vince Cable really is debasing himself and his party.

He knows the Labour Party has less anti-Semitism now – and Islamophobia, come to that – than when Jeremy Corbyn became leader.

He is simply playing up to the media- and Tory-led lies that have been claimed about Mr Corbyn and Labour.

And he won’t profit from it – because Mr Corbyn is more popular now than before his enemies in the Labour Party (and the Tories) kicked off their attack.

And we all know that Liberal Democrats love to support Tories – and lie to the public before they do.

The Liberal Democrat[s] would never prop up a coalition Labour government led by Jeremy Corbyn, the party’s leader adamantly confirmed this week.

Speaking to Jewish News Sir Vince Cable fired a warning shot to the opposition, claiming prejudice, including anti-Semitism seems to be “pretty severe” in the party, as he assured the community of “personal importance” to good relations.

He said “we’re very clear we would not be going into coalition with Corbyn-led Labour. Simple answer on Jeremy Corbyn, is no”, should there be another hung parliament at the next election.

The Lib Dem leader welcomed “attracting people who are disaffected” by Labour’s anti-Semitism row, saying he knows of “members of the community who used to support Labour who are now supporting us”.

I suspect that the far right rump in the Labour party have already made common cause with Labour’s enemies.I believe they will have already made plans to split from Labour when they can do the most damage, and that will be just before a general election. What will trigger the plan is if they fail to damage the labour vote in the local elections in May.This will be their last great political service to their corporate masters, before going for their reward in the next stage of their “careers”, in the private sector.

Just goes to show how the LibDems have drifted to the Right as well of course good old-fashioned political opportunism. During the late 1970s we had the LibLab pact but
that was the Liberal party before they merged with the SDP to form the present LibDems. I was brought up in a 1960s Liberal household when the party was truly middle-of-the-road but I’ve been saddened by recent events with the LibDems just hanging off Tory coat-tails. The LibDems should’ve learned their lesson in 2015 when they learned the price of supping with the Tory devil.

Vince Cable boasting to two young female Telegraph journalist, although he did not know it at the time:

” Can I be very frank with you, and I am not expecting you to quote this outside. I have a nuclear option, it’s like fighting a war. They know I have nuclear weapons, but I don’t have any conventional weapons. If they push me too far then I can walk out of the government and bring the government down and they know that. So it is a question of how you use that intelligently without getting involved in a war that destroys all of us. That is quite a difficult decision to be in and I am picking my fights. Some of which you may have seen”

Vince cable going nuclear was a damp squib. He could have crossed the floor anytime he chose, but chose not to, because the Libdems have the same Neo-Liberal policies as the Tories.

    Well, that’s a relief. Phew!!

So glad he has said it, Cable is just a opportunist snitching little ride on a popular cloud suck up.

Clegg was just a front shop dummy dressage for Cables own ambitions.

Cable was Darth Lord Sidious and Clegg was his Anaken Deep Dark Ambitions with One Person’s Ego at the centre – His.
