Syrian official says UK helped FAKE chemical attack in Douma

Last Updated: April 22, 2018By

Missiles over Damascus: The UK, US and France responded to claims that Douma had been subjected to chemical attack with airstrikes – but now it seems they were based on lies.

Oh dear, I think someone in Syria may have read This Site’s article on the allegations that the so-called chemical attack in Douma on April 7 was faked.*

The claim that there had been a sandstorm leading to respiratory problems – and doctors treating people for those problems were shown on videos alleging a chemical attack – would corroborate Robert Fisk’s report, as published on This Site.

The claim that the White Helmets are sponsored by foreign powers including the UK to create propaganda against the Syrian government and its dictator, Bashar al Assad, also rings true.

And doctors at the hospital in Douma are also on-record as saying there has been no chemical attack.

Don’t get me wrong – I wouldn’t trust the Assad regime to deliver a weather report. It is homicidal, if not genocidal, and deserves to be removed from power.

But the evidence suggests it is the western powers who acted wrongly in this respect.

We are not going to win international support by lying – or by committing war crimes based on those lies.

Those involved – most especially Theresa May – have disgraced us all.

A senior Syrian government minister has accused the UK of being involved in faking a chemical attack on civilians in order to justify air strikes against the regime.

Faisal Mekdad, the deputy foreign minister, told ITV News Britain was “absolutely” involved in faking an attack in Douma, which a number of Western governments say killed civilians including women and children.

The alleged incident on the 7th April reportedly killed 75 people, leading to airstrikes by the US, France and UK, targeting several sites linked to Syria’s chemical weapons programme.

Thank you Mike. It doesn’t surprise me in the least.

We have a Government in Britain that is mired in corruption and dishonesty and a Foreign Secretary who is a proven liar. I believe the Syrian regime’s version of events, which explains why Trump and May were in such a hurry to start their war.

We now know that the Russians and Americans get together before US “retaliation” to make sure that the American/UK bombs don’t hit anywhere with Russian personnel in place, to avoid those types of casualties.

As Assad is, indeed, a complete monster who murders thousands just to stay in power, how come the US/UK coalition of hypocrisy doesn’t just blitz his luxury palaces and seaside villas etc?
Of course he won’t be inside waiting to be killed but he would then have to lose a major part of his luxury lifestyle and it would be shown that his removal is the main focus of efforts to secure a peace agreement. As with the Russian oligarch involvement in the Salisbury poisoning, we all sit waiting in vain for actual steps to be taken against the wealthy and powerful. All we get are “gesture actions” like ineffective sanctions that don’t seem to make any difference, or “controversial” bombing campaigns against vaguely defined targets that are notified in advance.

the western powers did act wrongly, obviously. they attacked a country without waiting for a proper investigation. But a sandstorm does not correlate with the evidence of the doctor Frisk interviewed, the doctor said that conventional airstrikes caused the dust and suffocation. No sandstorm was mentioned by that doctor either. This is yet another story.

Still: Dust and suffocation – for whatever reason.
Can you find any tangible evidence of chemical weapons?
