Jeremy Corbyn’s speech at the TUC New Deal rally

This is just a representative image. If you want to see how Mr Corbyn appeared at the rally, watch the video.

He said all the right things – didn’t he?

Let’s have your opinions.

The sound on the following video is really good until around 10 minutes in – then it drops out, but can still be heard (just about). See how you get on with it.

What do you mean- “didn’t he”? Yes he said all the right things – are you damning him with faint praise?

No, I’m just trying to stimulate discussion of what he said.

A few hundred people protest about Labour antisemitism, and the media are all over it, thousands protest about the destruction of workers’ rights and……silence.

I wish they’d have come up with a different title, ‘New Deal’ brings back some bad memories!

The antisemitism thing is a blind. The same applies to Ken Livingstone who spoke the truth about the Nazis and Israel. Whilst MSM harp on about this, the real issues are being forced through or ignored. eg Grammar Schools. However, I do like a lot of what JC says but I do not understand how he is going to do this in an impoverished UK. eg the lost Gallileo project worth £200 million down the toilet. That’s just one! Perhaps you could enlighten us.

There is plenty of money in the UK if you know where to look. The 1% aren’t in any kind of poverty!
