Tories are planning another rebellion over Brexit. Wake me up if it happens

Theresa May: She can twist her party right around her finger.

Tory rebellion:

Rebels: We don’t like what you’re doing, Theresa May, so we’re rebelling against you!

Theresa May: I’ll give you something you want.

Rebels: Oh that’s all right then.

(Rebels vote to support Theresa May.)

Theresa May: I lied.

We’ve seen all this before.

Tory MPs are spineless drones who’ll do anything they are told, as long as they think there is something in it for them.

It amazes me that the media still bother to report on poses like this.

Theresa May is facing outright rebellion at this year’s Conservative party conference, as aggrieved party members plot tactics to force her hand on Brexit.

Activists are thought to be plotting protests against both the Prime Minister and Chequers-backing MPs at the conference in early October, just weeks before the crunch European Council to discuss Brexit.

In a further blow to May, City A.M. understands that Tory associations are mulling action including withdrawing long-standing loans to party HQ in response to May’s perceived failure to deliver on the Brexit vote, with many grassroots members at odds with her Chequers plan.

It’s always useful to remember that Tories are absolutely self-serving to the core.
Anything that threatens their cushy little number as an MP will be noticed and acted upon.
Unfortunately for them, the general public are starting to notice this so it will become increasingly more difficult for them to slither away from such arrangements.

Indeed, Mike. The Tories always cluster together in a huddle because their vested interests in maintaining the present set up is more important in the end.

The Brexit stuff, Johnson etc. is largely a decoy device to keep peoples’ minds off the real issues.
