UK tax avoiders face being blocked from honours list – to avoid bad publicity?

I’ve said it before: Image is everything to the Conservatives.

If they have initiated plans to block tax avoiders from the honours system, it means they want to avoid any (more) adverse publicity attached to such favours – or they have already rewarded all the tax avoiders they care to.

Tax avoiders are being shunned for knighthoods and other honours as authorities clamp down on rewarding people with “poor tax behaviour”, it has been revealed.

HM Revenue and Customs has been alerting the Cabinet Office to individuals involved in controversial tax planning schemes, with a memorandum of understanding obtained by the Times saying “poor tax behaviour is not consistent with the award of an honour”.

A document published on the Gov.uk website said HMRC used a traffic light system for the vetting process, assigning a low, medium or high risk rating to prospective nominees in order “to minimise the risk that prospective candidates have behaved in ways likely to bring the system into disrepute”.

new years honours list needs to be reformed anyway, I have a friend who cuts hair, why did they not get a gong, will ids get one, what about one for the loud mouth in Yorkshire, could we give one for a certain mp who acts like a clown, is grossly incompetent and thinks they are funny, why not, how about a tory award for who has the most self-harms under there belt, a obe for increasing homelessness, a obe for lying, wow the competition would be intense for getting that, free holidays on taxpayers expense, the list is endless, all deserved of course, if it was not for the fact that some of the stuff I mentioned is serious and is caused by tory policy and the other’s are taking the mick with some truth behind them, it might be funny but with this current bunch we might as well give them a pretty red bus so they could tour the country telling us why they got gongs, and as for embarresment and being worried about bad publicity, they are a embarresment – enough said

We know why they won’t just close the loopholes, which would be SO much easier, not to mention beneficial… because it will be detrimental to them and their friends! £abour’s Manifesto detailed the first attempt, that I can recall, of somebody actually attempting to deal with this issue, properly! This is but one more reason why Jeremy Corbyn cannot be allowed to govern! Despite having fought racism for all of his political life, having never though that he would be Party leader (so had nothing to prove), now tht he is Party leader, he is suddenly exposed as a racist! You think that you know somebody! To think that all of those years that he spend fighting racism… it was all a lie! Jeremy Corbyn was a dirty racsit all along and he took us all for fools! Hoe got himself arrested, just to fool us! Are their no lengths the would won’t stoop to, in order to suck us in? We were all fooled!
Why are people even running with that story and why, oh why are people being fooled? WAKE UP, BRITAIN!

Meanwhile non-dom millionaire Lord Ashcroft continues to collect his £300 per day (money he doesn’t even need) just for turning up at the House of Lords, whilst people like me get £73 per week for turning up at the Jobcentre.
