We all knew about Sajid Javid’s racism – this is more, SHOCKING, proof

It seems there are no racist depths to which Sajid Javid will not stoop.

We have already discussed his racism on This Site, here

And here.

Now, Mr Javid has hit a new low. Read:

“These sick Asian paedophiles are finally facing justice. I want to commend the bravery of the victims. For too long, they were ignored. Not on my watch. There will be no no-go areas.”

He was responding to a BBC news report on the jailing of a paedophile ring in Huddersfield. It states:

“Twenty men have been found guilty of being part of a grooming gang that raped and abused girls as young as 11 in Huddersfield.

“The men were convicted of more than 120 offences against 15 girls.

“Victims were plied with drink and drugs and then “used and abused at will” in a seven-year “campaign of rape and abuse” between 2004 and 2011.

“At Leeds Crown Court, the ringleader, Amere Singh Dhaliwal, 35, was jailed for life with a minimum of 18 years.

“Other members of the gang were jailed for between five and 18 years but the court heard many perpetrators have never been identified.

“Details of the men’s convictions and sentences can only now be published after reporting restrictions on a series of trials were partially lifted.

“During the three trials, jurors heard how the men – who are all British Asians mainly of Pakistani heritage – preyed on young, vulnerable girls, one of whom was described as having the mental age of a seven-year-old.”

Maybe you think he hasn’t said anything wrong. The paedophiles concerned were Asian – in fact, they were of Pakistani descent, as is Mr Javid. But that’s not the point.

The point is that his words potentially endanger the innocent by stirring up hatred on the grounds of race.

Consider:

Mr Bastani was referring to this Tweet by Mr Javid:

So now it is not only racism but hypocrisy. Mr Javid was happy to accuse Jeremy Corbyn of anti-Semitism (falsely – Zionism is a political doctrine, not a race or ethnicity), and is happy to endanger Asians himself.

Still fuzzy about it? Here’s Ash:

Aleesha makes a good point:

But Seema nails it:

https://twitter.com/SeemaChandwani/status/1053410321480716293

https://twitter.com/SeemaChandwani/status/1053412358851383296

I know several people who have been abused by men who were not Asian or Muslim and can personally support Ms Chandwani’s guarantee. And by the way, the people I know did not get justice because the police blocked it.

https://twitter.com/SeemaChandwani/status/1053415647210823683

Now Ms Chandwani moves onto a very important issue:

https://twitter.com/SeemaChandwani/status/1053418173054238720

https://twitter.com/SeemaChandwani/status/1053420096830488576

On the subject of the far-right and sexual abuse, Saboteur Aesop makes the big point:

https://twitter.com/TheFabledAesop/status/1053420647894925314

So Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon (aka Tommy Robinson) nearly caused the collapse of the Hudderfield paedophile case with live-streamed reports claiming to expose the crimes (but actually in danger of prejudicing justice), after making a speech about Muslims and “jihad rape gangs”.

And there is a disproportionate number of recent cases of child sexual abuse and grooming by men in the far-right. I can’t pin this on Mr Yaxley-Lennon because I don’t have any evidence, but there’s no better way to divert suspicion of a crime from oneself than accusing others of it.

And that’s exactly what racist Sajid Javid did when he attacked Jeremy Corbyn over his use of the word “Zionists”. Did he really think we would not recognise his attempt at deflection?

I am not and never have been a racist. I don’t care what colour, creed or nationality anyone is. Javid’s comment was simply a fact. The men were despicable groomers and they were Asian or Pakistani. I see nothing wrong with saying this and I also believe that decent law abiding people of this ethnicity wholeheartedly condemn their actions as much as we do. We are in danger of to much pussy footing around these issues. If it’s a spade, call it a spade.

So you think it’s okay to endanger innocent people who also happen to be of Asian descent? “Telling it like it is”, as your attitude has been described, perpetuates racist discourse and does nothing to help victims.
Don’t take it from me – I got that from Nish Kumar: https://twitter.com/MrNishKumar/status/1053619400924938240

Why is he racist? Because one Seema screams it on twitter? Have you labout lot forgotten 1500 rotherham children were raped and assaulted by Asian gangs..we can’t even speak the word ASIAN now!! It’s not racism to state facts!!

Here’s someone with an agenda: Conservative Mr Javid isn’t racist but Rotherham children were abused by Asian (again) gangs while the Labour council did nothing.
It isn’t racism to state facts. But it is racism to endanger the innocent by doing so.

We need to question the modern decadent society these victims and criminals belong to which has allowed this to happen for such a long time whilst agencies being involved. Don’t loose sight of root causes because of hate.

These guys had more in common with secular values than their faith and race.

Such crimes have no religion and race

    #SelectiveOutrage #selectivepunishment will not help in #PeaceUnityRespectJustice

Although Sajid Javid’s words and actions are questionable, in general, is this really racism? Granted, it was unnecessary for him to qualify the origins of the perpetrators but racism? Really? Perhaps, he was trying too hard to show his impartiality? I cannot answer that. Asia is, after all, a continent, NOT a race! Russians are Asian, Chinese are Asian, Indians are Asian and many, MANY others peoples are Asian so, he was wrong to use the descriptor but we must also not confuse, or conflate it with race.
With regard to his criticism of Mr. Corbyn, he was clearly jumping onto the Bandwagon and the ethnicity of the people to whom Mr. Corbyn was referring is still undisclosed; we don’t know where those people came from, simply that they were Zionists; there was no mention of race, ethnicity, or even nationality so, Mr. Javid’s intervention and those of others, who were critical of him, was unwarranted and purely to stir trouble. Mr. Javid’s description of these criminals, however unnecessary, was accurate and therein lies the distinction. We KNOW that these people are Asian so, to call them thus is not wrong, however unnecessary so, how is it racist? The comparison with Mr. Corbyn’s utterance is completely unjustified and again, is not understanding racism.
I agree that this does nothing to deal with paedophiles but I have yet to see anything that does, particularly when Media will have us believe that paedophiles are all hideous monsters when, in fact, they are more likely to be our friends, neighbours and family members than strangers; that is not to say that gangs do not exist for, clearly, they do but our view is skewed.

      You’re protesting too much.
Mr Javid was trying to court the favour of the far-right, and he was using their language to do so. It succeeded, as the flooding of the VP Facebook page with comments from EDL supporters and Tommy Robinson fans demonstrated to me.
Sure it was accurate to call these people Asian, but you’re a little behind the times. How many times have you seen reference to black criminals? Several, I’m sure. And how many times has the ethnicity of white perpetrators been mentioned?
      Never.
That’s why it is racist. It draws attention to their ethnicity and thereby endangers those of the same ethnicity who are not criminals. As it does when black people’s ethnicity is mentioned.
The comparison with Mr Corbyn’s reference to Zionists is entirely justified. Mr Sajid was confusing Zionism, a political ideology, with race in order to score a political point, and accusing Mr Corbyn of racism by doing so. His tweet reveals hypocrisy of a base nature.

I “protest too much” because I’ve had to deal with racism every day of my life. Behind the time? Try spending a day in my shoes.

Are you deliberately misinterpreting my words? I said you were behind the times because the story had developed beyond what you were saying. As for protesting too much – nobody would deny the racism you have to deal with, but you should not use that to evade the facts of this case.

      • Zippi October 24, 2018 at 3:10 pm - Reply

“Are you deliberately misinterpreting my words?” I was merely responding to what you said. If you meant that the story had moved on from when I wrote what I wrote, you did not make that clear. I thought that I had been clear and rational in my initial statement. It frustrates me, beyond belief, when people attribute racism to everything and no, I do not use my experience of racism to evade the facts but try to clear the ever muddied waters.
Believe me, I am no fan of this man, in fact, if truth be told, I cannot stand him but we must be careful when attributing such labels to people; it is too easy, in this day and age; see what happened with the anti-Semitism storm?

In light of the further examples of Conservative government racism that have come to light since you wrote this, what do you have to say now?

Actually, they weren’t all Pakistanis or all Muslims, at least 3 of them, including the ringleader, are Indian Sikhs.
