Conservatives hit by multiple suspensions over Islamophobia and Nazi references

This is unfortunate for the Tories, at a time when their popularity among voters is plummeting, their membership is flatlining and the only demographic that is increasing for them is the average age of their voter base.

And of course, the kind of member a political organisation attracts speaks volumes about the kind of organisation it is.

So the row over Islamophobia has the potential to be hugely damaging to the Conservatives and it is understandable that they may have wanted it hushed up for as long as possible.

Well, it isn’t being hushed up any more.

Conservative council candidate David Abbott has been suspended after party authorities were informed of Facebook posts he made.

Other party members have caused controversy by discussing ways to prevent Muslim Home Secretary Sajid Javid from becoming prime minister.

And Islamophobia isn’t the Conservative Party’s only problem.

Carl Husted was suspended by the party, despite being a candidate in forthcoming local elections, because he compared the millions of people who voted ‘Remain’ in the EU referendum to people who voted for Hitler’s Nazi Party in Germany.

Of course (again), the Conservatives now have a reputation for quietly re-admitting their errant suspended members – so who knows how long these suspects will stay out?

It appears that conservatives get suspended for about 2 weeks before being re-admitted after a “robust” investigation.

I think what needs to be done is make a running list of them and mark when they are re-instated – esspecially when it’s just before an election (been done a few times)

Tories cynically rely upon people’s poor memories.

If they suspended all their racist bigots there wouldn’t be anyone left in the Tory Party.

Tories rely on the right wing media and spin, they’re all one and the same.

Things might be different in the nasty party if there were an Islamic equivalent of an embedded criminal cult in the media peddling the ideology of murderous colonial imposters holed up in an abomination thousands of miles away, hijacking a religion, claiming ownership of all it’s assimilated followers and then using that and them as a weapon to further a filthy political and materialistic agenda…
