‘Nazi salute’ dog man ‘Count Dankula’ standing for Ukip in Euro election – so they’re BOTH sunk, then

One man and his (Nazi) dog: Mark Meechan, otherwise known as “Count Dankula”, with the dog he taught to Nazi salute when he shouted “Gas the Jews!”

Mark Meechan, the YouTube activist (?) going by the alias “Count Dankula” who was fined £800 for training a dog to do a Nazi salute when he shouted “Gas the Jews!” reckons he’ll be standing for UKIP in the forthcoming EU Parliament elections.

If this is true, I applaud it – it means that UKIP has drifted even further to the political right if it allows a known anti-Semite to become one of its election candidates.

I look forward to seeing both this man and that party sink without a trace.

“Dankula” was recently cut out of a BBC Scotland discussion programme called The Collective after the Corporation received complaints that it was inappropriate to feature a man convicted of an anti-Semitic hate crime.

But the excuse was that he was excised “during the edit process”.

“Dankula” is not only a convicted anti-Semite but also a friend of Stephen Yaxley Lennon, the far-right Islamophobe who is better-known by his stage name “Tommy Robinson”. Funny how they all have aliases, isn’t it?

He shot to infamy over the YouTube clip in which he had trained his girlfriend’s pug to do a Nazi salute while he repeatedly shouted, “Gas the Jews!”

And he dragged Countdown co-host Rachel Riley down with him when she responded to a tweet in which he complained about the possibility of having a GPS tracker attached to him, and being placed under house arrest, with the word “insane”.

The tweet prompted strong responses, although some expressed uncertainty about what Ms Riley meant.

(Further information is available here.)

She has not – to my knowledge – ever clarified the statement in a way that allayed anybody’s fears.

She wants to sue This Writer after I criticised her for ill-treating a teenage girl with anxiety issues who criticised her over her pose as a campaigner against anti-Semitism.

Considering some of the people she supports, it seems clear she hasn’t got a leg to stand on.

    You absolute moron! Seriously!

YOU are a “known anti-semite” (ooohhhhhh scaryyyy!). You have been fighting that label for years now, right? And yet your so ready to slam someone else with the term for the thought crime of a JOKE (remember them?) when you clearly have minimal knowledge about the situation or the man, at all. Being “grossly offensive” was his crime and yet Frankie Boyle seems to be doing just fine!

It’s a good thing, is it? That this man can’t find a job anywhere because of this very public labeling and when given an offer for a show by the BBC, social justice wankers and jews having a temper tantrum get him fired before he has barely begun, because offense is power and everyone is too spineless to stand with conviction against the loud people with hurt feelings playing identity politics. Unlike this man, who has paid the fine to charity and refuses to pay it to the state.

And then you spin it all into some personal feud with Rachel Riley?

    You should be ashamed.

Go watch a video rather than parroting what the mainstream tells you.

Oh dear. Look at this, everybody!

No, I am not a “known anti-Semite”, as everybody without a political agenda or who isn’t willing to be led by the nose is aware. I haven’t been fighting that label – I defeated the false claims.

He may have said it was a joke but this man was fined £800 for his anti-Semitism. That marks out a clear difference between him and me, right there.

The whataboutery involving Frankie Boyle is neither nere nor there.

“Social justice wankers and jews” are stopping him getting a job, are they? Looks like you’ve got more than a touch of anti-Semitism yourself!

As for Ms Riley, I merely commented on a connection that she made herself. It is in the public interest for me to do so.

There is a clear message to take away from your comment.

It is that, if you want to accuse somebody else of anti-Semitism – or indeed anything at all – you should keep a lid on your own abusive language, and avoid being anti-Semitic yourself.

UKIP is where it has always been, the only thing that’s changed are the dummies posing in the shop window.
