New mental illness suffered by a certain brand of Twitter troll is named at last: Antisemitismitis!

[Much of this article is satirical, although the tweets – by people who are dead serious in their prejudice – are not.]

Those of us who have had the misfortune to attract the attention of a certain kind of Twitter troll may relax in the knowledge that there is now a name for the condition suffered by our abusers. Read on:

It wasn’t long after I read this amusing definition that I had reason to use it – although the sufferer was not tweeting from an anonymous account. Look at the state of “Derek Martin”‘s tweet, below. No wonder #MurdochsDemocracy responded in the way you see.

Having already been caught out once, “Derek Martin” doubled down, with a false accusation against me:

I think this person was trying to make a reference to my crowdfunding campaign, which is to raise money to handle false accusations of libel by celebrity antisemitismitis-sufferers Rachel Riley and Tracy Ann Oberman. I wonder if they’ll use this comment in their case against me?

The problem with “Derek Martin”‘s query, of course, is that (for once) the allegations against me do not make any claim of anti-Semitismย by me. So this Twitter troll dropped him(?)self directly into the definition of the condition by “True Labour” above.

This poor, deluded sufferer went on to make his(?) condition even clearer:

Meanwhile, it seems other sufferers were lining up to join “Derek Martin” in declaring that they had the condition too – but at a further level of development:

At the moment there seems to be no cure.

However, as mentioned above, I am raising funds to find out if there is aย legal remedy to this behaviour.

The details are on this web page:ย

Your contribution could work wonders.

Have YOU donated to my crowdfunding appeal, raising funds to fight false libel claims by TV celebrities who should know better? These court cases cost a lot of money so every penny will help ensure that wealth doesn’t beat justice.

  1. Zippi

This could, actually, be an accurate term, since the suffix “-itis” pertains to inflammation therefore, anti-Semitismitis would be inflammation of anti-Semitism.

  2. Growing Flame

The accusation of anti-semitism may be becoming the “go- to criticism” for opponents of Labour when stuck for a quick debating point.
Just before the recent local elections, as I and other Labour campaigners set off to canvass, a large, rather posh ,young man came on us unexpectedly round a corner. He must have seen our rosettes and , (a bit pissed?) he dredged up the only criticism he could find in that sudden instant, so it was “anti-semitism” and “terrorist sympathisers” before assuring us he was, actually, a Lib Dem supporter! Off he weaved while we got on with the task of getting two more Labour councillors elected in our town.(the Tories lost 3 and the Lib Dems stayed on one only).
The danger in all this is that, as has been discussed on this site, if anti-semitism just becomes a throw-away insult , devoid of genuine analysis, it devalues the very real problem of prejudice against Jews that ,as Jeremy Corbin has been warning for years,is a real scourge in our society.
