David Cameron is ‘distraught’ over Brexit. Good thing he’s got the cash to ‘chillax’, isn’t it?

The heart bleeds, doesn’t it?

According to several news sources, former comedy prime minister David Cameron is “distraught” about Brexit.

Former advisor Gabby – now Baroness – Bertin was quoted as saying: “He’s not depressed or anything, but he cares deeply about this country. It’s a wrong perception that he is having a great time and washed his hands of it.”

Oh, really? Some of us couldn’t help pointing out that he’s certainly having a much better time than the rest of us, with all the wealth he accumulated during his time as an MP. Some of us can’t afford to splash out 25 grand on a shed in which to write our memoirs, you know!

And of course Mr Cameron has the means to distract himself with life’s more expensive comforts.

He’s just bought an £8,000 hot tub for his luxury Cornish home – and not one from B&Q, either!

According to the Mirror, “The ex-PM chose a wood-fired, freshwater version that claims to be “authentic” and eco-friendly.

“A blurb describing the hot tub, which reads like a rejected script for an M&S food ad, reads it is for people who “believe the objects in your life must have a soul and a higher purpose”.”

Even if it did have a soul, I don’t think that would make up for Mr Cameron’s lack of one.

So David Cameron is distraught about Brexit, well David the UK is distraught about David Cameron, for if he had done his job properly then the country may not have been in this mess.

Yes, he called for the 2016 Referendum, but did not appreciate the the UK would vote for Brexit, so he did not have any plans for this result.

So, when he ran away and hid, it was left to others to endeavour to rectify his gross error.

Unfortunately we ended up with May, who while promising to deliver Brexit, did not have any intention to do so.

Does this make May worse than Cameron, well no, but she is a very close second.

The UK was conned by Cameron and then conned by May, so a double con.

In fact it was a Tory con because a majority of Tory MPs are Remainers and never had any intention to allow the UK to leave the EU, but voted to say they would.

But is Labour any better for their Leader Corbyn was never a supporter of the EU, but like May is trying to walk a center line between remain and leave.

Neither the Tories and Labour have been truthful with the UK, only the Lib Dems and the Greens and perhaps Farage.

No wonder the UK is the laughing stock, not only of the EU, but the World.

We may have been a nonentity for many years, but that may is now a certainty.

Just a couple of things: Labour policy has always been to honour the referendum decision, but to do so in a way that Remainers could live with, rather than calling them traitors like the supporters of Farage.

And there’s no reason to suggest that Mrs May had no intention of delivering Brexit. She just wanted to deliver her version of it – one that helps her and harms people like you and me.

The Liberal Democrats are now the poor man’s Tories – you lived through the ConDem years; you know the abhorrent policies that the Lib Dems supported. Nothing has changed there.

I really think you need to reappraise the situation.

The problem is that you can’t leave and satisfy “Remainers.” There is no halfway house. It’s a paradox.

Another clown who accepted DLA & other benefits for his poor departed son yet he wasn’t branded a scrounger like so many thousands of people are now because of him turning people against the worthless sick, poor & disabled . . .

Yes he done a runner & I don’t think he’s still “all in it together” tho. .
And he’s still got bodyguards following him
    I wonder why?

I always said that this man should be in prison, for treason.

I agree with “Zippi”. Cameron should be put before the Courts for, at the very least, Misconduct in a Public Office. The man was never anything more than a very shallow slick-talking confidence trickster.
