Did Rachel Riley’s ‘Durham Miners’ tweet upset you? Support Mike’s libel fight!

Rachel Riley wants you to believe she has been wrongly targeted by me with a claim that she bullied a teenage girl. Read this tweet and consider who you believe is right.

Yup – she compared the Durham Miners’ Gala with a meeting of the Ku Klux Klan.

And the organisers were not amused:

We’re observing a pattern of behaviour that, in my view, is indefensible. That’s probably why Ms Riley threatens litigation against anyone who points this out.

The Durham Miners’ Association hasn’t (at the time of writing) reached the point where court action is inevitable – but I have.

So if you know someone who has been infuriated by Ms Riley’s treatment of the good people who organised, attended and performed at the Gala, please invite them to visit this CrowdJustice site – https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/mike-sivier-libel-fight/ – and then do one, some, or all of the following:

Please email five of your friends, asking them to pledge to this case.

You could also post a link to Facebook, asking your friends to pledge. Again, the address is https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/mike-sivier-libel-fight/

If you’re on Twitter, you could tweet in support, quoting the address of the appeal.

And if you can afford it, please consider pledging some cash yourself.

It’s only my personal opinion but I think that Ms Riley’s behaviour is utterly unacceptable. If you agree, please spread the word about my campaign as widely as possible.

Have YOU donated to my crowdfunding appeal, raising funds to fight false libel claims by TV celebrities who should know better? These court cases cost a lot of money so every penny will help ensure that wealth doesn’t beat justice.

Every day she is showing her true colours; this seemingly has nothing to do with anti-semitism, and everything to do with her hatred of the Labour movement and its desire to level this country’s playing field.

She really is an ignorant egotist, isn’t she? Why can’t she leave the politics to the grown ups? I hope she and Oberman lose their metaphorical shirts in court.

    Stick to the numbers!

She is NUTS! Hava Negila was a staple to most choirs brass bands and childrens choirs. all northern all working class and many coming from “traditional” industrial and farming communities, It actually means Rejoice Rejoice. apt..

I had the police on my doostep this morning trying to arrest me again for same charge and writing that I was arrested and went through court before and after all the harassment and stress and having to defend myself Crown Prosecution said they had no case against me and judge threw it out.

It is illegal to prosecute and investigate a person on a crime which has already gone all the way through court and got a result THROWN OUT! and NO CASE!

But no law exists when standing up to tyrants and bullies in power.

    But it is illegal.

I very strongly suggest that you inform yourself about the laws on defamation before going any further. A lawyer will be happy to take money off you to teach you things you can easily find out for free. You have clearly failed to understand how the law works if you think you stand a camel’s chance in a raft-race of suing for libel just because you are upset.
In my opinion, you have also failed to present anything like adequate evidence to back up your accusation against Rachel Riley of bullying, but I amn’t a lawyer, so by all means leran the expensive way if you prefer.

That’s a very funny comment to those of us who do, indeed, understand the law of defamation.
