Government buys 100 million doses of vaccine by firm that ‘procurement tsar’ part-owns

Interesting display of priorities by the Conservative government here.

It has bought 100 million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, enough to vaccinate 50 million people, having approved its supply with the first doses to be given on Monday.

This compares with just 40 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine that was approved in early December – enough for 20 million people, with doses already supplied to nearly 700,000.

Is it a coincidence that – as revealed by the New York Times – Lord Deighton, the Tory procurement tsar whose attempts to get personal protective equipment went so badly wrong, is a shareholder in AstraZeneca?

The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine has been approved for use in the UK, with the first doses due to be given on Monday amid rising coronavirus cases.

The UK has ordered 100 million doses – enough to vaccinate 50 million people.

This will cover the entire population, when combined with the full order of the Pfizer-BioNTech jab, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said.

Meanwhile, the number of new Covid-19 cases has soared again, to 53,135 on December 29. This is due to the Tories’ failure to make any real effort to control the spread of the virus.

Even in the current lockdown, schools will reopen when term begins in January – and schools are now recognised as the principle vector for the spread of the disease.

It’s almost as though someone had created an urgent need for a vaccine, in order to supply that demand.

I know.

It’s just paranoia. And I shouldn’t mind that somebody is getting very rich indeed from the suffering of millions of people.

    Dear Vox Political,
Thanks for the information, so able to contact my GPs and (unfortunately) Tory MP, to ensure not forced to have the AstraZeneca Oxford Covid19 vaccine, that risks incurable multiple sclerosis, as a known adverse effect to the old way the rabies vaccine was made (not now).

Being old already compromised immunity from age 60.

AstraZeneca has not put in yet for approval by the EU of its Covid19 vaccine.

    America’s FDA is sceptical.

As the jabs begin on Monday, it means the very oldest will get the jab, instead of the Pfizer, that so far only has a risk to people who know they have severe allergic reactions to a component in it and should be telling they are exempt.

As multiple sclerosis is life time disabled to young and old alike, we will see the results from Monday.

Remembering that the welfare state is gone to the disabled.

The one good thing about this is that the AstraZenica vaccine uses DNA (rather than Pfizer RNA) which means that the Astra DNA adenovirus’s more rugged protein coat helps protect the genetic material inside.

Of course the problem with both these approaches means that they modify the human genome.

The Russian and Chinese vaccines are all based on decades old testing and trials and do not alter our DNA.

The trouble with all vaccines is their potential for causing immune conditions, autoimmune conditions and immune responses against proteins our own body produces naturally to help fight infections and viral invasions.

All Covid vaccines are dangerous and have many side effects but at least the Russian and Chinese ones limit the damage RNA can cause and yet we in Britain are not being given the option to recieve the least dangerous vaccines available because they were manufactured by Russia or China.

……Long live Russophobia and hatred of the dreaded Yellow Peril right up to the point where thousands of Brits are dead or immune deficient….!

If you have already had Covid then have a serology test done before accepting the Pfizer vaccine, if you have had a flu jab then you should not be asked to have a Covid jab or vice versa.

The reason I make mention of this is that your other half suffers from various disabilities and she may well be better off not having a vaccination. Just something to think about if an opportunity for exemption is made available.

If you want to know more about the vaccines I can cobble together some links or copy and past info.

p.s I caught a “flu” some twenty odd years ago and it damaged the hearing nerve in my right ear, I’ve never caught it since and I’ve never had a flu jab. I may or may not have immunity but it is apparent that millions of people do have a natural immune response capable of fighting off the worst effects or eliminating the virus totally. That’s why some people have a bad cold or don’t even know they have had Covid 19. It would likely be redundant for them to have a jab which could potentially compromise their robust immune system.

    Stay safe.

No conflict of interests there then as usual with the Tory scum and their rampant cronyism. They have seen this pandemic as yet another way of lining their worthless pockets with our money but as usual, people won’t care it drives me mad the apathy in this country!

The whole thing seems to me to be stage-managed with perfect timing (life doesn’t work that way)

From a “covenient” new mutation to the new miracle cure that happens just as the Brexit deal is signed – All Hail our Great Leader !!! – my ass – far too Trumpesque for the Uk to swallow !
