Boris Johnson SHOULD be blasted for thinking of plunging kids into poverty

Two-fingered salute: Boris Johnson displays his attitude to your starving children.

Bear in mind what we know about money: the government creates it in order to fund its policies, and taxes it back afterwards in order to prevent inflation.

Now read this:

Boris Johnson has been blasted for considering plunging hundreds of thousands of children deeper into poverty by ending the £20-a-week uplift of Universal Credit.

Anne Longfield, the outgoing Children’s Commissioner said the Prime Minister’s claimed commitment to helping youngsters catch up after the pandemic was “not compatible” with cuts to the vital benefit.

And she called on the government to back Joe Biden-style funding boost, aimed at families and children.

In suggesting that he won’t continue the £20/week uplift, Johnson is saying that his government prioritises funnelling millions to fake companies run by rich Conservative cronies over saving innocent youngsters from starvation that he has caused with his other policies.

We know this because the crony contracts keep being signed.

It isn’t a matter of there being not enough money; it’s a matter of priorities.

Now you know that his lie with his fat mates – and not with your starving kids.

As Keir Starmer highlighted in his speech today. You can read a full transcript here https://labourlist.org/2021/02/starmer-calls-for-covid-recovery-bonds-and-boosted-funding-for-start-up-loans/ but here’s a couple of short extracts.to be going on with

How can the Prime Minister now look those families in the eye and say: “We did everything we could?” When the truth is that the Conservatives promised to fix social care for a decade, but never got round to it. The problem is even bigger than the serial failures of this government: it’s about an ideology that’s failed. An ideology that’s proved incapable of providing security for the long-term, that’s indifferent to the moral and economic necessity of tackling inequality, and that left Britain unprepared when we were tested most.

If you can’t decide whether to plunge hundreds of thousands of children into poverty by cutting universal credit, you have no chance of mending our broken system. If you vote against children getting free school meals, you’re not going to find the solution to millions of children growing up in poverty. If you can’t support three million self-employed people, but you can spray billions on contracts that don’t deliver for our NHS, you’re not going to be able to build the economy of the future. And if you freeze pay for millions of key workers you’re hardly going to build the high wage, high standards Britain that we so desperately need.

They are good points, all of which were made first by other people.

We are still waiting for Starmer to reveal his own beliefs to us. His constant failure to do so, and the evidence of his own actions against his fellow Labour Party members and in support of the Tory government, are enough to raise serious concerns about his suitability as qny kind of leader at all.

Tory scum 101!! The rest of disabled people saw sod all extra money is this fair? Yes it’s wrong Tory scum playing favorites there new benefit ooh let’s give them something!!

Ending it is wrong but here is the huge but they have had extra while so many have never seen anything extra. With Tory scum everything given will be grabbed back despite the people still really needing this little extra. But remember these are the same Tory scum that are quite happy taking money from Cancer patients and disabled people.
