Rees-Mogg employs racist metaphor to describe political rivals

Unpleasant, insulting racist: Jacob Rees-Mogg in Parliament.

Tory racism is riding high in the run-up to the summer recess.

The culprit this time is Leader of the House of Commons Jacob Rees-Mogg, who employed a racist colour-metaphor to describe an alliance between a local Conservative Party and the Liberal Democrats.

Supporting fellow Tory Damian Moore’s speech against a Labour plan for cycle paths in Southport – he said cycle paths had already cut revenues, which seems unlikely – and noting that Tories were working with the Liberal Democrats to deny cyclists their own safe traffic lanes, Rees-Mogg said:

It shows how completely lunatic they must be that they have created an alliance between my hon. Friend and the yellow peril.

According to our good friends at Wikipedia,

The Yellow Peril is a racist color-metaphor that represents the peoples of East Asia as an existential danger to the Western world. Fear of the Yellow Peril is racial, not national, a fear derived not from concern with a specific source of danger or from any one people or country, but from a vaguely ominous, existential fear of the faceless, nameless hordes of yellow people opposite the Western world.

The racist ideology of the Yellow Peril derives from a “core imagery of apes, lesser men, primitives, children, madmen, and beings who possessed special powers”, which developed during the 19th Century as Western imperialist expansion adduced East Asians as the Yellow Peril.

That Rees-Mogg feels comfortable using a racist metaphor in Parliament is bad enough.

That he used it to refer to his Liberal Democrat Parliamentary colleagues – with whom the Tories were in coalition from 2010 until 2015 – is deeply insulting to that other party.

Taken as a whole, it is more proof that Rees-Mogg – and Tory MPs in general – are deeply unpleasant, insulting, racists.

Why wasn’t that arrogant fascist ignorant xenophobic, women hating and racist tory fake MP Ress-Mogg (sic) ordered to leave the chamber by the Speaker or his deputy speaker? Given this arrogant fascist boy uttered a racially insulting term when trying in vain to respond to his fellow fascist tory MP’s speech?

Answer because the fascist tories have the speaker and deputy speaker ‘in their pockets’ so this means the fascist tories can blatantly utter insults and slurs with male impunity!
