Police have sent questions to Johnson over Partygate. Who knows what story he’ll spin?

Last Updated: February 12, 2022By Tags: , , , , , , , , , ,

Wishful thinking: Boris Johnson won’t be imprisoned for attending a lockdown-busting party. But he could lose his job as prime minister for lying about it.

We knew this was going to happen, and now we’ve received notice that it has:

The announcement has received a somewhat jaundiced response:

“Emma 48%” makes a good point, though.

I mean: if police are investigating a crime and have evidence that a person has been involved, they normally take them down to the station and interview them under caution. Why resort to questionnaires instead?

Apparently Downing Street staff who are implicated have already received instructions (from their bosses? From Johnson’s advisers?) on how to answer. If so, then the response to these questionnaires will be useless as it is possible that these staff members will mislead the police.

I don’t think anybody doubts that, knowing what we do about the events and his character, Johnson will hide the facts if he can.

So these questionnaires are, most likely, pointless.

Also, Johnson himself is apparently receiving legal advice (although we don’t know how he’s funding it). So it is unlikely that he will be providing any straight answers.

Of course, I could be mistaken. Investigators may be able to find discrepancies between the information given them in the questionnaires and the evidence they have received from Sue Gray.

But I have serious doubts.

Still, with the possibility that action could be taken as soon as next weekend, we shouldn’t have too long to wait.

I’ve never heard of any police force anywhere, at any time, using the method of sending ‘questionnaire’ to suspected lawbreakers to find out if they have indeed broken the law. If you were doing this you would at least try to make sure they couldn’t collude on their answers in order to exonerate themselves by coordinating their lies. And, if you knew that some of them were lawyers and/or high up in government you would be even MORE cautious if you wanted your investigation to be taken seriously. Obviously they don’t care that we can see right through this, corruption in the full glare of the public. And now that Dick has left any problems regarding this can be blamed on her quite safely by all concerned.

I’m surprised that Her Majesty’s Opposition (headed as they are by a previous head of DPP) aren’t making anything of this. Almost like they’re looking the other way..

Questionnaires??? Ridiculous or rather corrupt Met police once again are colluding with little fascist dictator duck johnson and yes this is how a fascist state operates!

We peasants don’t receive questionnaires when police investigate our supposed ‘crimes’ instead we are arrested and then spend hours in a cell but little fascist dictator duck johnson and his lackeys are above the law as usual!

Outcome will be little fascist dictator duck johnson is innocent but his lackeys are all guilty of holding parties at his residence and without his knowledge despite duckie baby walking in on these parties!
