Rachel Riley will laugh at you if she wins this libel case without a trial. Don’t let her!

I’ve been looking at the numbers and here’s the current situation in the libel case between TV celebrity Rachel Riley and This Writer:

Since I was told we needed to raise £60,000 (March 14), the amount unspent in the CrowdJustice fund has risen to around £11,321. I have a promise of £30,000.

This means we have £18,679 left to raise.

On recent performance, it seems unlikely that this can be achieved. The last update has raised just £790.

The situation is causing me considerable anxiety. Looking at the figures, if everyone who has contributed anything at all put up just £6 each, we’d have reached our goal.

For some reason, though, it seems most of you aren’t seeing these updates.

Added to this is the fact that the fund will be eroded whenever my legal team do any work on the case and – as I have discussed previously, Rachel Riley is constantly searching for pointless distractions with which to plague my solicitor because she has no problem with wasting your money.

Yes – with an anticipated three months (and a week) to go, you might think there’s plenty of time.

But that’s no reason to leave this matter to the last minute.

I’ve often said that Riley wants to make sure I don’t have my day in court – because the things I will say will be entirely accurate, and extremely harmful to her reputation. The best way for her to achieve that is to make sure that I can’t afford it.

From your point of view, if I am prevented from having my day in court due to lack of funds, then the nearly-£200,000 that you have already provided to get me this far will have been for nothing.

I can’t believe that you would be willing to accept that your money has been wasted, without even having secured me my day in court.

So let’s do what we must, to get me there:

Make a donation yourself, via the CrowdJustice page. Keep donating regularly until you see the total pass the amount I need.

Email your friends, asking them to pledge to the CrowdJustice site.

Post a link to Facebook, asking readers to pledge.

On Twitter, tweet in support, quoting the address of the appeal.

Rachel Riley will be laughing at you if you give up on my defence after more than three years and after donating all the money you already have.

There’s only one sure way to wipe that smile off her face. Let’s make sure that happens.

Have YOU donated to my crowdfunding appeal, raising funds to fight false libel claims by TV celebrities who should know better? These court cases cost a lot of money so every penny will help ensure that wealth doesn’t beat justice.

Mike I have tried umpteen times to give you more help through the crowdjustice page, but it doesn’t work. This could be how you aren’t seeing many new donations. When I try to donate it gives a message saying it will send a code to my phone, but it never happens. You need to get this sorted. ASAP

Hi Mike. I have donated again but sadly due to the cost of living crisis I think you will find your support dwindling. We are all having to make tough choices. I wish you the best of luck against this person
