Supporters tell why they are supporting Mike in Riley libel case

With less than £10,000 left to raise – as my current calculations have it – let’s hear from some of the people who have supported my defence against Rachel Riley’s libel claim against me.

These are people that Riley herself has described as ranging from “hardcore antisemites” to “vulnerable people… who have all donated money based on false claims” (which I hope to prove is, itself, a false claim).

Why do you – and they – support my defence against her claims? I’ll let you answer that for yourselves:

“Natural justice is dying in the UK and now we must band together to fight for it.”

“Not bowed, not [deterred], not squashed, and the more they try to ruin you, the more I am determined to defend you.”

“This has to go to court.”

“Hopefully justice will be done and this case will set a precedent for those falsely accusing others of Antisemitism.”

“I hope you get enough Mike. I would hate to see you lose because of this. She needs to be taught a … lesson. This antisemitism scam and bullying has gone on for way too long.”

“I loathe and detest what you and your wife are going through, Mike.   To – not – have your day in court, would be the greatest injustice, of all.  The amount of money someone has, should not be the decider of justice.  That’s unjust, in itself.” (It’s a very good point that Riley is also dragging my partner – not my wife, we’re not married – through this ordeal as well as me. Apparently collateral damage is of no interest to her in her drive to win. Hopefully we’ll find out after July 22 whether she’s wrong in that.)

“Please keep going; your tenacity is awesome and your case SO just.”

“I believe justice can only be served if you can take Ms Riley to court and prove she has made false accusations against you to silence yours, and our voices.”

“The best thing that can happen to Rachel Riley is that she lose this case. It’s about time she realised how mistaken she is. I hope the court requires Riley to pay your costs.”

“I cant tell you how I admire your grit to keep going… its so important that we dont allow the super wealthy to dictate justice and ‘the many’ together have the power…good luck !”

“I’m broke, but even £5 donations matter.”

This last point is vital. According to the statistics provided to me by CrowdJustice, nearly 1,100 people have given between £5 and £10. If the same number did the same now, this crowdfund could clear the amount needed to fund the trial, two months early!

That’s why I post regular reminders of how to donate – because even the smallest donations help, if people know their contribution is still needed.

And it is. Here are the details:

Please make a donation via the CrowdJustice page. Keep donating regularly until you see the total pass the amount I need.

Email your friends, asking them to pledge to the CrowdJustice site.

Post a link to Facebook, asking readers to pledge.

On Twitter, tweet in support, quoting the address of the appeal.

Use other social media in the same way.

This lengthy and ongoing process is an ordeal and has affected me and those around me.

But your support has been a shield against Riley’s ongoing attacks – not just the money, but also your words.

Have YOU donated to my crowdfunding appeal, raising funds to fight false libel claims by TV celebrities who should know better? These court cases cost a lot of money so every penny will help ensure that wealth doesn’t beat justice.

Where can one start but to allow untruths to flourish then it’s a downward hill to leave it sink away into oblivion. Go on Mike fight for justice

Justice should not only be available to those who can afford it, because that is not justice. I intend to keep donating in the hope that your tenacious pursuit will result in a win for all of “us” mere mortals, not just the few. The more difficult this Riley creature makes things for you, the more many of us will dig our heels in.

My only quibble would be with the correspondent who hopes Riley will ‘…realise how mistaken she is…’. I do not believe Ms Riley’s action are based on any ‘mistake’ or misapprehension on her part. Simple vindictiveness – because she has the funds/backing and she can.
